Where my Scout-brehs at? What rifles are y'all using and why? I primary with the M1903 Sniper when the weather is clear and alternate between the Gewehr M.95 Marksman and Infantry when it's foggy or a sandstorm.

Gewehr carbine/M1903 experimental, SMLE MKIII (sometimes).

I base weapon choice more on map position than weather. How do you play the class?

I mainly play Operations on the trio of desert maps. The sight lines are pretty favorable for snipers, which is pretty much all I do.

When defending, I play as a counter-sniper around 30-50 meters from a capture point and pick off targets that are between 50-200 meters; for example when playing Fao Fortress I'll sit back and left of the B objective until we get driven back to the fortress. I find that the typical person that plays the scout class stays stationary for too long or goes prone and forgets how easy of a target they actually are. If I see a group of 3 or 4 in a small area, and I'm not being hampered by suppression, I can typically take them all out. I sort of get into that, "you can't outsnipe me," zone and start laying people down :bustback:. But I've noticed that the people who manage to counter-snipe me either get me when I make the mistake of standing still and scoping in for too long, or when they move back and forth and get their shot off at the moment they stop moving.

When attacking I try to thin out defenders around objectives. If we have planes in the air you can usually find someone on AA or on a Field Gun. Getting the person on AA is child's play, but getting the Field Gunner is hard if you don't have a good angle on him. When the weather messes with visibility then I'll go to a lower magnification loadout and play the objective. The M.95 is magical with that straight pull bolt from 50-100 meters.

Some time next week I'm going to try to get better with the Martini-Henry and pick up a service star with it. Eventually I'm going to buy the 1903 Experimental. How do you like it?

I'm trash with the Martini-Henry. I think the 1 round + long reload time messes with me psychologically.

I pretty much auto-que Conquest, or Rush. My flow of Conquest means I'm rarely defending (I still count defense while capping as offense). I roll with squad towards x-objective, spot flare and start capping. I can pretty much love tap people and get assist-counts-as-kills from aggressive team mates. The nature of Conquest forces a level of aggression which can be difficult with scout when making a solo push, but I preservere as I run fire tripwire, and gas nades, the touch of which allows me to OHK with the gewehr often enough. If not then I can tap with my Omelette Du Frommer, and i often do(#1 secondary). If I'm defending an objective I prefer to stay off of it, and cap them as they run towards before they can reach cover. Spot flares also present a unique mind game aspect, as once placed they're bound to be on high alert. Gas grenades will fix any issues that might bring ; sniping someone in the face while they fail hipfire is fun.

I also take care to plan for the enemy re-claiming by tripwiring vantage points, but that depends heavily on what we've taken, presence of vehicles, skill of the enemy etc etc.

For Rush my strategy mostly resembles yours. It is true that stillness is death; pop shotting from cover works, but everything depends heavily on the aggressiveness of your squad. The experimental will shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger for 13 dmg ea...YMMV. With a 41 clip, and questionable accuracy...you'll be laying down some boss-level suppression.

Think that's why my top weapon overall is gewehr 95 infantry allows for more margin of error since it has the straight pull you can kinda spam fire it:wow:
I ain't gon hold you, I don't know how you use them weapons I'll use a dmr, but them straight pull and one in the chamber snipers is boring as fukk to me
