fighting lesser comp that frequently early in your career is the way..faster way to acclimate into the pro game, stay sharp, smooth out other things, and keep the fighter active..esp since i know mike prolly wasnt making big money like that lol..you want a young fighter to stay hungry

I always think that was him and others downfall, they didn’t have fights frequent enough and fell off the wagon. Should fight at least 6 times a year until your fully established if not more.

i dont think there was anything wrong with the first half of tysons career with how frequently he fought..i mean within his first 3 years the man unified all the heavyweight titles and was undisputed....it was his comeback in the second half is when things got fukked up with how he was moved

No need to act brand new on what fighters mean when they call certain fighters runners

Canelo called Floyd a runner when we seen him stand in the pocket and beat the shyt out of him. So I'm reading what he's saying and also what's being implied. He don't want to deal with Crawford's boxing ability. You see it as shots, I see it as he knows what time it is cause he experienced that first hand. Crawford also stopped 6 of his last 7 opponents. To act like Crawford wouldn't bring him smoke is just an excuse. I ain't even saying Mikey wouldn't fight him. Yet he's giving us everything we need to know about how he sees a potential fight.

I get you like Mikey but you trying to spin what he said when Mikey is telling you he don't want the Crawford fight.
I don't seem them fighting based on his own admission.

If a fighter says he doesn't want to fight someone, and he's already said Easter was a very difficult fight for him due to height/reach....and then he actually went on to skip fighting Easter, I can only assume he's also being honest about not wanting to deal with Crawford outboxing him from a distance in the pros just like he's saying, being that Crawford is even tougher to beat than Easter AND Mikey already has 1st hand experience with Crawford in the ring. And lost.
