instead of talking about pac taking the zero of a top prime welterweight champion in a great fight ...its more horseshyt about pac-floyd 2....the first fight was a DUD..the whole card was a DUD..let it stand as a reminder and example of when a notable fight was made too late and keep it movin

Pac has to hold blame because he never gave floyd the proper respect for beating him. He still claims he won and that his shoulder was fukked up. And the media ran with injury excuse ever since.

I think the rematch already woulda happened if pac just gave floyd his proper credit after the fight. Just admit you got beat fair and square and ask for the rematch. Don't make excuses. Remember pac had foot locker commercials basically calling floyd a coward. The shyt was personal. I'm not a big foyd fan but manny making excuses was some weak shyt. But I still wouldn't be surprised if the rematch happens cause floyd still loves money

I understand that breh and I don't say his annoyance is unfounded, what I was saying he didn't sign him, he's not Pac's boss and imo Pac didn't get famous just because of him

..this fight is going to be at that 164.5 catchweight...he fought canelo at that weight and was a zombie..why? motherfukker should just make a run at 175..but of course suspect boxing skills and the fact there are killers at the weight might make it too hot for jr lol

Pac beat the likes of Morales, Barrera, JMM before all the May vs Pac talk. He beat some fighters Mayweather already did but he fought Cotto before Mayweather and he fought Margarito.
DLH, Hatton, Mosley were the bigger names he fought after Mayweather beat them.
Their careers definitely intertwined after a while but I don't see it as they got famous on the other's back

and again... how he promotes his fights and making money off of him?
Things are not clear. Is Floyd not just someone who's close with Haymon and the PBC branch? He is actually involved as a stakeholder? If so to what extent, what he can decide on, etc... Thought this is Haymon's project not Floyd's and the two are not = even though they are close to each other.
Mayweather has his own promotion company to what Pac is not signed to so as far as we know Floyd didn't sign him and doesn't promote him.

If you look at the mayweather promotions page, they have promoting his last 2 fights. Hes not doing that for fun. Hes gettin makin money off pbc

I give Whyte flack but one thing I won't ever question is this dude's willingness to get in the ring with anybody willing to sign on the dotted line. I do believe him vs Wilder would be a really good fight if/when it happens. He just has stamina issues late which leads to him getting careless

I disagree respectfully, he just didn’t want the fight and Hearn is/was doing the same with Whyte in regards to AJ. Whyte just didn’t want to lose again and have to rebuild, not even saying he would lose but it would be the best boxer(technically) that he has fought.

I wouldn't have that much problem with it at this point, after Pac vs Thurman...
Not the fight I want the most, but... Pac actually showed he's still in the top 3 of 147 and he probably crept up on P4P lists too again with this performance so if he's in a form like that I would have no problem Mayweather coming back to fight him again...

The first fight was very one sided though so that's a reason against it

iirc there wasn't any talk about Whyte vs Ortiz until Whyte started to complain that the WBC suddenly moved him from number 1 spot out of the blue probably to the ask of Wilder's team or something and put Breazeale there instead, then as an answer to Whyte's complaints they suddenly came up with the idea that he and Ortiz will have to fight to become mandatory.
I might remember wrong though, there were so many shyt going down there but if I remember right hte situation just screamed the WBC not wanting to upset PBC's schedule with Wilder by ordering a mandatory to him who's with DAZN (= if Matchroom won the pursue bid that means PBC's 2nd or 3rd biggest name goes to fight on DAZN even if for 1 fight)

Its cool that Manny is the number 1 welter and all as nobody truly knocked him off his crown......But given the recent welter transpirings, off eye I truly believe Swift is the best and most dangerous welter til this day, shame he couldnt get a Thurman or Porter rematch before they get/got mopped......He beats both 8/10 times
