Props to El Chacal. He's one heck of a fighter.

he is a great fighter but he needs only big fights because he is passing his athletic prime and as long as he stays focused and doesnt get complacent...he will make a lot of money. a tall long pressure fighter will give him hell though.

If Rigo can maintain his speed and reflexes, I can see him ruling that division for a long time.

A lot of Rigondeaux's win and people calling for a near shutout comes from him making Donaire look ordinary.

In some of the rounds there wasn't much to go by but Nonito plodding after him throwing single shots and missing badly is always going to want to make you give a close round to Rigondeaux.

Rigondeaux's reflexes are crazy and even if he wasn't as fast as Donaire (he was, possibly even faster) his timing is so good he could have neutralised him anyway.

Two quality operators, a mediocre fight but in terms of learning the subtle nuances of boxing a very interesting fight to learn from.

no, you stop growing at a certain age and thats well before 30. your metabolism may slow down but Nonito at 122 looks flabby to me. not like he did at 115. some people are never lean or muscular...but when someone like him was previously and they keep moving up in weight, its not because he is getting bigger. he is eating well and probably training lighter inside and outside of camp.

Mickey Ward stayed at 140 his whole career. Hagler at 160. BHop at 160 until he moved up for more money....not because he was getting bigger...lol he was already 40!

Oh, I didn't realize everyone was the same.

Although he gained respect from hardcore fans, his marketability went down. No casual fans would want to see him dance in the ring.

they arent...but you are implying that someone is growing after 30. :what:

Nonito going to 126 doesnt mean he cant make 122, only that he doesnt want to anymore. he lost his belt, now he wants to get one in another division, thats all that is.

You telling me BHop was still growing at 40? :stopitslime:

this is why the rematch will happen, likely at 126 for a title Nonito will have picked up by then and if Nonito decides to give him one, unlike Pac refused to do with Bradley

I would like to see Rigo unify all the belts in 122 before moving up.

I would too, but u know how it is with all the fukkery with unifying, plus Donaire still brings the money...if he has a title. you said it yourself, Rigo doesnt have the marketability just yet unless he starts knocking out a high level of opposition.

Agbeko, Perez and hopefully Mares would look good on Rigo's resume.

Are you telling me BHop can get down to 160 if he wanted too and be healthy?

yes, absolutely. I wouldnt agree with him fighting at that weight AFTER fighting at 175 for years...but he was perfectly healthy when he was 40 fighting there. didnt he weigh in at 157 for DLH?

you dont understand. getting bigger (eating, not staying in shape) is not the same as growing. there is a reason BHop fought most of his career at 160. When Roy went to 190 plus he put on muscle. Came back to 175 in quick fashion. mistake.

if a fighter stays at a weight and is disciplined, he can maintain it. so what you think Broner just grew into a WW body since the fight with Paulie was signed? Broner and any other fighter can make the weight where the most money is. :udontknow:

you must dont remember when Chris Byrd went from Heavyweight to LHW do you? I know he got KOed, but it wasnt because he was weak, it was because by coming back down at an advanced age, he lost all his advantages he had over the HW. LHW were much faster than Byrd at that time.

lol at you actually believing that. I'm sure you believe Floyd can get back down to 130 and be effective and healthy too.

being healthy and fighting are two different things...reading is fundamental.

when Floyd left 130 he was like 23. when BHop left 160 he was like 40. see the difference???

Floyd has muscled and saturated into a higher weight, of course he wouldnt be peak fighting at 130. :wtf: :udontknow:

Donaire is not the same, he clearly is a blown up fighter who can still make 122 and 118 even.....just dont have the desire, discipline, or motivation (big money fight) to do it.

how many times have yall seen fighters say they ABSOLUTELY cant make a weight anymore, only to go back to that weight when then they get a big purse offer and they start yapping about how they were just eating wrong and now they feel great that they hired a nutritionist, and yadda yah??
Look at Anthony Mundine. Won most of his titles at 168, then towards the end of his career won titles at 154 THEN 160. :takedat:

come back tomorrow for more class...
