What do yall think of Team Mayweather telling Canelo 147 or no fight for Sept 14????

On one hand....I dont want the fight in Sept. I would rather see Canelo vs Cotto and make a bigger fight with FMJ for May.

On the other hand....FMJ doesnt want to go back and forth with the weight thing so if that fight happens at 154, it will be down the road. I know I sound like a FMJ stan, but business is business and if Canelo wants FMJ he has to do it on his terms. FMJ wouldnt allow Pac to dictate, he sure as hell wont allow Canelo to do so.

On the third hand....FMJ needs a credible opponent and Canelo is the most credible that I can think of.

Hayemaker Boxing has announced that David Haye has withdrawn from his proposed June 29 bout with Manuel Charr due to a hand injury picked up in training. The injury to his left hand occurred on Sunday evening and left the former WBA world heavyweight champion with no option but to postpone his impending return to the ring. “I’m absolutely gutted to have to pull out of this fight on June 29,” he said. “I pick up injuries now and again in training, and sometimes carry them into fights, but this was one I simply couldn’t recover from in time. I need to rest it up for at least four weeks. “I apologise to Manuel Charr and to everybody involved with the promotion. But most of all I want to say sorry to the thousands of fans who bought tickets to the fight. I felt it was important to let them know about the cancellation as soon as possible, so they can now make other plans. “As soon as I am told I can resume full training, my loyal fans will be the first to know.” Tickets can be refunded from their point of sale.

well, at least his toe is fine.
whats that I smell?

I personally thought the fight shoulda been a draw, which means it coulda gone either way.. The reason Roidquez let it slip out his hands was because in the later roubds Nacho told him to be conservative since he was ahead on the cards, thinking they would just get the decision.. I hope you actually saw the fight and aren't just going off heresay

No, I didnt see the fight. Will get around to it one day. I am not saying he lost, just telling you that everyone that I talked to said they felt he did. I didnt have one person tell me they thought Pac won and even you said it was a draw in your eyes.

The dumb shyt is the rounds he was supposedly going the consertive route, he was still out working and out landing Manny, while Manny dance around the ring crossing and tripping over his own feet, looking like a drunk ametuer then gets credited for ring generalship,

:pacspit: at HBO for that fight

SN: Rewatching the 3rd match recently JMM hurt Manny bad in round 10 cut him and had Manny weary and probably could have finished him if he wanted, I didnt seem to notice that the other times I watched, probably because of HBO dikkiriding

I don't see Alvarez accepting those terms because there is no way he can make that weight easily. I never thought that this September was a realistic date anyway.
GBP has a little goldmine in Canelo and they can make serious bank with him so they don't really need a Floyd fight right now and they def won't risk it by having him drain himself to make weight.

I am not sure that its more of a weight drain thing than it is as Canelo truly wanting FMJ at 154 which would obviously be more in his favor. you have to remember that Canelo was once a JWW. before you start bashing me for bringing up that point....I didnt get much response when I posted how :deadmanny: wanted Serge to come to 147 AND weigh in day of no more than 150. thats even worse, because I dont think Floyd has a day-of limitation.

Floyd is WW champ and meeting his obligations. The WBA will need to force him to defend at 154 if we are going to see that fight anytime soon at that weight.

See, here's the thing....if Mayweather wanted to fight at 154, why not get Sergio, I am sure he would come down. Everybody wins in that situation. Floyd gets a more credible opponent than Canelo. Canelo gets Cotto. Martinez gets a retirement check. Canelo still gets Floyd in May.

Canelo should have no problems doing it, people act like he is a career JMW, nikka was fighting at WW about 18 months ago, if fatboy truly wanted it for Sept and thought and he could beat Mayweather, he'd be happy to accept at any weight, Mayweather doesn't have anything to prove to Pactards fighter bigger men in their division, Floyd doesn't even weigh in at the 147 for his WW fights and people want him to sacrifice 25-30 pounds moving up to 154 once again. Has Floyd not earned the same respect that SRL, ODH, Manny Pacquaio, with using their star power in negotiations, if you want the best you go to their division and fight them, why things have to be different when it comes to Mayweather

Sergio is stuck on HBO and is in bed with TRcause of the Chavez fight.

You beat me to it by a minute regarding Canelo weight, nikkas act like he been a JMW for 10 years or something, like real boxing fans dont know or pretend to act like he wasnt at WW in 2010 getting buzzed and looking ordinary as fukk vs people like Matthew Hatton, but GB is gonna milk this weight thing as a reason why Canelo is fighting Cotto

the thing is, everyone brings up the WBA super title. if that were his only title and he fought exclusively there, its a :duck: plain and simple. fact is. he holds a legitimate title at 147 and has never lost the linear title there, it was only vacated because he retired.

Pactards shouldnt open their mouths to speak. he didnt defend his JMW title and asked Serge to come to WW from MW. whats the difference?

he actually fought Hatton at JMW...which is even worse because Hatton shouldve never been allowed to fight for a vacant title at 154 because 6 of his last 7 fights were at WW including his last 3!

Which is exactly why I brought up Sugar Ray Leonard and ODH, SRL fought for the LHW title at a 167 pound catchweight, while Lalonde happily obliged, and BHOP happily made the ODH fight somewhat reasonable because of his weight advantage doesnt change the fact ODH was the MW champ and held one of those straps( I heard not one chirp then), it simply wasn't his weight and was evident by him struggling and receiving a gift vs Sturm, if you want the best you go to they weight class or try to accommodate them.Unfortunately for Canelo he truly cant play hardball and get the Mayweather haters to further villify Mayweather because Canelo has to be forced to fight a JMW (1 true one in his 2 year reign as the best 154 pounder) let alone moving up for big money fights at 160
