i dont really view canelo as an inside fighter.
Not in a clinch but I think he’s at his best from mid range and from the pocket, thinking about the distance where he just doesn’t have to make physical contact constantly but close enough to land a short hook or uppercut

Seriously, he needs to GTFO of this.

Need to see that on a nice joint ESPN/FOX joint PPV with maximum exposure for Bud.

DAZN needs to stay away from this fight, it deserves real attention, not an underground platform.
Lol you have some grudge against them, what underground platform, have u seen their social media numbers compared to like all others?

But regardless of what we call them if it goes to a bid and Hearns wins it then blame TR and PBC for not being able to agree in time or not bidding over Matchroom and not the bid winner for living with their right to bid. I guess if u would be in their place you would say “nah we don’t need that fight, let’s just stay out of this, it’s unethical to compete with them” :camby::mjlol:
What kinda logic is this

ESPN, FOX, TR, PBC all deserve to hold that L if they can’t agree after the purse bid being extended twice and then let Eddie outbid them. It is what it is.

I think they will agree eventually but this could have happened a lot earlier.

if only he was this eager to make fights with his own stable at 160:mjgrin:

He only has control of andrade at 160, ggg is a dazn fighter.he has said himself he wish he could make that fight, GGG leverage in his deal allows him to control his own

No grudge, I still have my subscription. IG doesn’t tell the story. As someone from the other side of the pond, I have high standards for DAZN and so far they have got away with the absolute bare minimum with promotion. It’s just not healthy to have this fight on DAZN.

I doubt they would even put out a 40 Days for this fight, which is in their wheelhouse of online promo (that they haven’t used in years!). Their youtube is just filled with shorts and highlights, they don’t understand meaty promotion or how to build anyone up. They haven’t done a 40 Days for Haney, Andrade, Ryan Garcia, or even the last 3 Canelo fights…,.what makes you think they will do anything for Bud/Porter? So their IG and youtube following is useless.

DAZN has no impact on the mainstream, meaning this fight will come and go. It won’t be on any of the major outlets.

At least if it’s on ESPN/FOX it will create a ripple. If it goes this route it will have the following.

-ESPN Blood Sweat and Tears
-Segments on First Take & other ESPN shows
-Countless segments on Sportscenter
-FOX PBC Countdown
-FOX PBC Fight Camp
-FOX PBC Face to Face
-NFL Promo

This is all nationally aired stuff which will be in conjunction with their social media, meaning they will throw it all on their youtube as well. DAZN doesn’t have that footprint, they just don’t.

right
imagine hoping dudes have to take less potential money in a bid format just so some specific platform gets to carry the bout :dead:
(not to mention DAZN winning would save us all $40 or so stateside :mjlit:)
once it reaches purse bid everyone has opportunity to get the fight, nothing stopping TR/PBC from putting their money where the mouth is and making Eddie fall back
DAZN owning the rights to the fight is a good point re: future viewing being restricted if it turns out to be a classic type fight
But the way TR and PBC been inconsistently promoting shyt the last year or 2 i don't even know if them winning the bid necessarily means this fight is going get a mega push promotion wise

If DAZN’s promotion sucks so bad how they got more following than FOX’s, TR’s and etc’s accounts. By your logic these big ass channels should crush DAZN’s social media numbers with the reach they’re having but they don’t… :manny:

I won’t automatically love a network more than an other because it has more reach. Showtime creates all around superior product to FOX and they are a premium network. If I’d have to decide whether I’d watch the same card on FOX or Showtime I’d pick Showtime without hesitation.

I also don’t see the evidence that fighters who are pushed on FOX or ESPN got generally bigger, more famous than those on Showtime or DAZN.

My point is you might not want Hearn to bid and win it but can’t realistically blame him if he does so. The blame is those who couldn’t agree while it wasn’t an open competition.
Hell, I don’t want Triller to win it with their constant fukkery, it’s probably a goner then but would I blame them for bidding? No

this...all of this...this year alone....the one fighter who has been promoted heavy between TR and PBC..hasn't even had a 2nd pro fight yet and he's co main event status:heh:

purse bids happen for a reason...its not a new thing...its only more interesting in recent years because new entities have the cash to get bigger fights away from the established entities

i encourage DAZN or Trilller to keep doing this shyt (as long as they can get the fight to come off) to get these other mfrs to get their shyt together
