Is there a more tougher, soul crushing loss in boxing history than this one?

John Tate had the whole world at his fingertips and it all came crashing down suddenly

had a fight with muhammad ali in his grasp and gets ko'ed cold with a min to go in round 15

It's so many what-ifs or what could've beens during the 1980's heavyweight era. Seemed like a lot of talent back then got taken down by other shyt.

I was watching an nba game recently and saw one of my favorite players sit out yet once again due to load management. It got me thinking of the benefits if it was implemented in the sport of boxing.

Let’s take someone like Canelo. He recently fought 4 times within a 12 month timespan and it arguably ruined his career. He’s never been the same. He lost to some guy from Russia that I’ve never heard of at 175, and looked lethargic against a 43 year old diabetic version of GGG.

An athlete of his caliber and stature needs rest. He should be fighting once every other year. After he fights Ryder in May, let’s come back strong May 2025 & then perhaps a retirement fight in 2027.

It’s time that boxing evolve with times. Perhaps I was wrong about Jermall Charlo. I heard he was looking to schedule his next fight sometime in October of either 2024 or maybe 2025. This is a guy that gets it.
