I think he could of held off just a bit.

maybe a couple of punches...but Lopez didnt give him an excuse....if he wouldve thrown a shot or two or held...the ref wouldnt have stopped it.

the funny thing about that is...the ref wanted Dawson to put his gloves up and he didnt. not saying the ref was wrong...it was a good stoppage, but I could definitely see Smoger letting Chad continue. Chad was very upset with the ref too. Fight was in opponent's home town too?? Dont get hit with the shot. Bottom line.

Night started out slow and boring brehs but it picked up.

Maidana proved he can bang and he has heart but I'm at Lopez breaking an attendance record

Lara beat a much improved Angulo and I hope Angulo can come back because he was beating a legit contender

Dawson got caught with a power shot to the ear but he was too lackadaisical facing a power puncher

Thats what sucks. Dawson is good at "staying alive" after being hurt. He probably would have found away to get the UD after Stephenson got his nervous energy out and excitement.
