i've heard toney say that before that your shoulder doesn't need to move up (like floyd's shoulder roll) to shoulder roll. all you got to do is twist. he's right about that i think.
He believes the version of the shoulder roll he was taught is the real version of it because you're defensive, but you stay in position to be offensive; like Ezzard Charles & Georgie Benton whom JT emulated

i think floyd shrugged his shoulder up like that because he fought a lot of smaller guys. they have to punch up and its so hard to punch over the shoulder, the trajectory would be like trying to throw a ball over a building, but the arm just can't bend like that. you look at somebody like juan manuel marquez he just could not get his right hand up over floyd's shoulder. but toney could do it to anybody. just such a simple gesture, nothing to it at all, just a twist.

Just finished watching this. Wants the big names without doing the roadwork. Wants to fight Canelo and Charlo. And thinks he deserves it coming off a 2 year layoff and a KO loss. Wants to tweet from his house without being seen by the public and without trying to market himself
The Host mentioned why don't he fight Mbilli as a way to show the public and the promoters you deserve to get the big names. He had a big pause like. "Mbilli.... um why would I fight him??" :dead: :dead: :dead:

Lol

In all fairness I don’t think Charlo should be some far fetch fight. That’s a fight that makes sense for both of them.

Regardless, some of these nyggas just need to start working. I call it the “Hasim Rahman” plan. Everytime Rahman lost, that nygga would dedicate a whole year to fighting against bums 4 or 5 times to gain some momentum into a title shot until he lost again.

A lot of these guys just want to wait around. All I know is Andrade is 37 years old. He better get on it fast

Watched the highlights. My biggest takeaway is that this is a huge indictment on Mathias as a fighter and how limited he is.

No disrespect to that Frenchie but Paro clearly isn't top tier and fortunately for him 147 is a fukkin' wasteland right now.
fukk that's some a-grade hating right there.

He just stepped up to 147? He won? You're acting like every fight at the top is some sort of given that it goes perfectly? Opponent was undefeated ffs.

what andrade needs to do is fight...im not sure what his deal with pbc is or his future plans but he needs to be on some cards or start being booked outside of pbc..like you said..his window is going to close and pbc isnt putting on monthly cards anymore

I actually wouldn't mind a Mell vs Bud fight at 160. They have history which can easily sell the fight without promoters having to do anything lol

It's the "biggest" fight you can do that has actual history + Legacy implications. Mell should not Be wasting time with Spence, and he did everything there is to do at 154, so Mell going to 160 is his redeeming moment from the Canelo fight. Mell vs Lara end of this year would be Perfect, wince Mell is WBA Champ in Recess and WBA is in bed with PBC (shyt they gave Danny Garcia a shot outta nowhere).

Its a huge fight and not as expensive (both will get paid but it isn't no 100 million shyt), and they can do it in Vegas of course OR the Nebraska football stadium which would be huge, or do a Black Excellence June Card in ATL, even have the Haney/Norman Jr winner as a Co Main + if Abdullah Mason wins throw him on there too.

I see Jannibek moving up the way he is killing himself so I wouldn't play around with 160 Undisputed being a goal for Bud but just fight by fight yet still meaningful (Mell out the way ok another division Champ, if he feels good ok unify, and so on).
