I see so many Boxing writers and podcasters keep saying Boots is Roy Jones 2.0. I just don't see it, am I bugging?

Not to disrespect. But he fights like typical Philly fighter. Can box a bit, but when push comes to shove, he just wants to bang inside with leaky defensive holes. Any time he was in trouble with a decent fighter, he ALWAYS reverted back to banging recklessly. Stanionis, Avenysan, Karen, etc

Yeah, he fights nothing like Roy & people get too caught up in comparisons too much lol

We might not see another boxer as gifted as Roy for generations

People confuse Boots talent and athleticism for fighting like Roy. I see it in spurts, but not enough to say he a Roy clone.

Pascal fights like a great value Roy jones, but you can actually see it for moments at a time over the course of a fight. Ditto for early Ward too.

Boots has his own style imo. He don't really fight like anybody I've seen before. He does too much of everything and we haven't seen him made to adjust either. That nikka might just be a Andre Dirrell Mark Johnson hybrid.

his karen fights alone should show that he's no roy jones clone or hybrid...prime roy had his flaws but he wasn't getting hit with the same punch repeatedly over and over without some type of adjustment in 2 fights
