Yeah, not comparing literal fighters but this is Boots Devin/Kamboses moment. He needs to take the financial loss and do whatever it takes to make the Zayas fight happen as if he gets them belts the division is his especially if it is a standout performance in PR or NY.

Dev and his pops said it was a bad deal in that he had to go to Australia twice and had to fight Lomachenko and the pay wasn't a ton. Essentially TR was trying to get those belts to Lomachenko by any means. This is all while Devin was struggling to make 135. I think if Devin had the deal on his terms he would have fought George once and moved up.
I know dudes hate Bill Haney but I can't not respect how Devin bets on himself. his only mistake was fighting Ryan like an idiot.

Vergil's manager, that Rick dude and Vergil's father are to blame. They took a gamble that the public perception of "Oscar being a bad promoter" would help them win the case and with the fans, but it backfired. Oscar literally in Vergil's corner when he was battling health issues, and set him up with great fights to put on his resume and get him paid
