I’ve always said on here that elite boxers moving up in weight is a cheat code. They may be at a size disadvantage, but they have such a significant advantage in skill and handspeed, that it overwhelms bigger guys. A lot of the times, these fights are lopsided. Bigger guys just aren’t equipped to deal with it.

The handspeed is amplified against bigger and slower guys. You’re seeing it all across boxing right now

Benazvidez at CW (although I need to see more)
Bud beating Canelo
Canelo taking over 168
Stevenson
Haney beating that slow ass ww in his last fight


It kills me that some of yall believe Jermell could have beat Canelo when he doesn’t have that type of skill or speed, which is why he wants to stay his slow ass at 154.
I really don't think that much about fighters moving up in weight because they are usually just moving up to a weight that is natural without a big weight cut.
