that's the thing about PEDs I think alot of people are woefully ignorant about that including ppl who post in this thread regularly..PEDs only do so much for a fighter....its not instant super power in a needle/pill/shake/cream/patch as most believe..because they get whooped in fights too

lets be clear on RJJ "doping"

he tested positive for a (boxing) banned substance. that banned substance however was over the counter and legal. nothing earth shattering. it was banned by the IBF at the time...they found low levels in his blood, much lower than his opponent. he admitted to taking it and was never caught since. He never lost his title due to this nor did he receive a ban.

its like ephedra or any other shyt that people buy over the counter and the FDA prohibits sale of.

if you consider Roy a cheat for that...then damn near every nikka playing baseball, basketall, hockey, etc...was a cheater.

also...EVERYBODY uses something...it just comes down to how close they use it during fight time. if you have allergies, inflamation of joints, etc...the doc puts you on steroids. sometimes fighters have to do this in order to not have to cancel a fight that may be weeks ahead. if they get it out of their system during regulated time its not an issue.

most substances give you some sort of an advantage...the question is if the substance/advantage is active during the time frame of a particular event.

i have heard some people involved in some usa amateur boxing programs say that roy ha been using steroids since he was a teenager. i dont know how credible that information is. it was strange to hear an allegation that specific though.

Yea, Jones had the same issue Wladimir currently has-cleaned out the division and theres no one left But at least he fought them on reg HBO. Floyds fighting bums on PPV, and whats worse was he was going the distance with these guys and too afraid to step into his punches and get them outta there. Thats why for a long time no one was really interested in Floyds fights and found them boring and he had to resort to compromising his own integrity and portraying himself as someone ppl hate even tho he was a lovable person in reality.
