 Ricardo Lopez. Guys competition wasnt that hot, but ill be damned if he wasnt the picture perfect model of a boxer puncher.

Hey, to all the guys in here who are big boxing fans, I'd like it if a couple of yall came through on the new forum of a friends. The site is great, and the forums have a lot of funny, insightful people (especially for those of yall into classic boxing which the coli doesnt like to talk about much). The only problem is there arent a lot of Americans there, which I wanna change.

Check Hook Boxing - The Front Page

check it out. Im not saying you have to sign up, but id really appreciate it if yall gave the forums and a couple of the articles a look.

Here's a nice piece written by a friend of mine about Sweet Pea for example: Check Hook Boxing - Pernell 'sweet Pea' Whitaker: Anatomy of an illusion.

Thanks to any of yall who check it out. I like reading what some of yall post in here, and I get the feeling yall might want to check out a chill boxing site that has a good staff.

It is reported that Argentinian slugger Lucas Matthysse (31-2, 29 KOs) will face Nigerian Ajose Olusegun (30-0, 14 KOs) for a WBC interim super lightweight title on September 8 at a venue to be named. That same night the IBF world champion Randall Bailey will defend his crown against former WBC beltholder Devon Alexander. The Matthysse-Olusegun winner would then face the winner of the October 20 clash between WBC super lightweight world champion Danny Garcia and ring legend Erik “Terrible” Morales.

:ehh:

they used to have World Champions in the 80s and 90s

You're right...I think it would be dope if you researched what exactly happened with the boxing culture in Korea, why it disappeared, etc :obama:

Article Link - Richard Abril-Gavin Rees Agreement Reached For The Fall
This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article.

BoxingScene has been advised that an agreement has been reached for WBA lightweight champion Richard Abril (17-3-1) to face British lightweight champion Gavin Rees (37-1-1) in the UK. According to Abril the fight will take place either in late September or October.

"We have agreed to fight Rees. The fight will take place in late September or in early October. It depends on what date the British TV gives us," Abril told BoxingScene.com

Rees last fought on July 7th when he knocked out Derry Matthews at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield. Abril last fought in April when he lost a controversial decision to former champion Brandon Rios who came into the fight overweight.

Abril said that he looks forward to the challenge of fighting Rees in his backyard and that he is sure that he will win the fight.

"It will be my first time fighting in that country and it will be a great experience for me. I am ready for whatever he brings and I promise you that I will win because I will give everything I have when I step inside the ring," Abril confidently stated.

Even MORE separation at 135...Division seems to be lining itself up for Broner's arrival...
