If he did, we'd probably be looking at him alot like Jones
its understated how gunshy roy was after he got knocked out by tarver too. in that tarver fight he looked just as quick and agile as he always looked before he got knocked out. he never fought that way again after that. his fall off to me was a lot more psychological than it was physical.

Arum ain't dumb...GGG is fighting late July he won't be ready early Sept

So have Chavez go head to head with Floyd...take away Floyd's viewers N if Chavez flops on the ratings hell say "well JCC Jr ain't the draw that he think he is, he should sign what I want him to sign":troll:

Either way he wins

Speaking of Roy, I saw his name mention is a Q&A mailbag thing along with some other things I talked about during the Floyd/Maidana fight. Glad somebody said these things

:ehh:

no maidana hit Floyd in the back of the head..which should result in deduction of points. he also hit Floyd in his private area and basically tried to knee him in the face.

but no one wont say anything about that cause they want Floyd to lose so bad.....

I respectfully Disagree big time.
You are going to see a Hungry contender like Froch in that ring.
Froch going to be in crazy shape

im going for a late stoppage as groves always gasses out

Groves just signed to Sauerland yesterday, wierd he signed just before this big fight as if hes not confident he will win

expect him vs kessler and abraham in the future

LEONARD ELLERBE DISCUSSES FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S SEPTEMBER FIGHT; SAYS MAIDANA ISN'T THE ONLY OPTION
By Ben Thompson | May 20, 2014
leonardellerbe.jpg

BT: What's up, L? The plan has always been for Floyd to fight in May and September this year. I take it that hasn't changed.

LE: September 13 is the date.

BT: Given the feedback from this last fight, is Maidana the frontrunner to land that assignment?

LE: We have a number of options that we're looking at.

BT: He's definitely in the mix though, right?

LE: Yes, Maidana's in the mix. He's an exceptionally dirty fighter. Their whole game plan going in was to fight Floyd dirty. Unfortunately, [referee] Tony Weeks had a very, very bad night. There were so many dirty things, from kneeing to headbutting to elbowing to biting, hitting behind the head, hitting on the thigh, hitting on the dikk; there were a number of dirty things that happened during the fight that went without notice. And they were on some bullshyt from the go, coming in with the gloves with no padding, the bareknuckle gloves, but all that's behind us. The most important thing is the fans got a great fight.

BT: It was a great fight, which is kind of why I figured Maidana was the only candidate. Is Amir Khan one of the other options you guys are looking at given his performance against Collazo?

LE: He's a good fighter, but fighting Floyd Mayweather is a whole different level.

BT: Khan recently said that he wouldn't be able to fight in September because...

LE: (Cutting in) Well, with all due respect, that's Amir Khan's problem, not our problem. We're going on September 13th and that's that. There's a long list of opponents who can fight in September.

BT: (Laughing) No doubt. One last question. There's been some rumors regarding the numbers for this last pay-per-view, but to my knowledge, nothing has been officially reported by anyone involved with the event. Can you comment on the pay-per-view numbers at this time?

LE: We're very happy with the results thus far. Floyd Mayweather is in another stratosphere, operating in a world by himself. He's raised the bar so hight that he's competing against himself. There are no peers when it relates to pay-per-view numbers. We had a tremendous fight, we had a phenomenal gate, and the numbers are still being counted. We're still doing the accounting on the pay-per-view number because the pay-per-view universe is different than it was a year ago, so it takes a little longer, but we're very pleased with what we've come up with thus far. People can speculate all they want to. We're just sitting back and when the time is right to release an accurate number that reflects on the pay-per-view success, we'll do so, unlike some people who just put numbers out because it sounds good. We're very pleased with the success of our entire event!

LEONARD ELLERBE DISCUSSES FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S SEPTEMBER FIGHT; SAYS MAIDANA ISN'T THE ONLY OPTION|| FIGHTHYPE.COM
Ellerbee needs to stop...there may be a long line of fighters for Floyd to choose from for September but there is not a long line of fighters to choose from who are bankable stars that can get PPV numbers over that 1 million buys benchmark. As it stands Showtime is not going to be too keen on letting just anybody be the B side to Mayweather anymore because dude is 1 for 3 in delivering on the PPV numbers the network wants and that one time was due more to a red-haired Mexican than to Floyd.

That is why I am not for all that "I re-watched the fight 40 times with the sound off and then re-scored it to prove the guy I wanted to win all along really won and by an even larger margin than I initially thought" bullshyt that goes on in this forum way too much.
I judge a fight based on watching it live with all the shyt that comes with a live event and I stick by that decision.
If I watch a fight over again it is because I thought the fight was entertaining and I want to be entertained by it again.

Continually call out a man you have no intention of fighting brehs :upsetfavre:
How do we know that is directed at Floyd? It could just as likely be directed at Marquez since all the talk was about a fifth fight and dude was very non-committal after beating Alvarado.
