Does JMM have a deal in place with HBO? If so that would be an issue.

I posted in the other thread talking about this topic that a WBO super-middleweight title fight against Arthur Abraham would be a huge problem for Floyd's PPV numbers since it would be Jr in a title fight and that would get Jr's fans hyped as fukk.

Wasnt his last PPV outing against Sergio Martinez? That did 475K which is not bad numbers. Throw JCC Jr, the 168 Title in the picture against Arthur Abraham (who has a bigger fanbase than Sergio Martinez), and put Mikey Garcia on the undercard


I dont know breh, Floyd's PPV sells will take a bit of a hit imo if he's only fighting Marcos Maidana again

Bryan Vera is a nobody though. If Floyd did a PPV fight against Devon Alexander, wouldnt do good either


Floyd fighting Maidana with Khan and Broner on the card still only did 875K. That's EXCELLENT for anyone else, but those arent Floyd type numbers....especially with 2 higher profile fighters on the undercard with him.


JCC Jr vs Arthur Abraham will do over 300K breh...especially with Mikey Garcia on the card and on Mexican Independence Day with Floyd vs Maidana 2 being the other option


Them 300k sells will definitely affect Floyd's overall numbers

- Mayweather vs. winner of Cotto-Martinez...or Canelo vs Cotto? Unlikely. Martinez is still under contract to HBO for one more fight. He wasn't sure on Cotto's exact contract, but even if he was a free agent Cotto says he is loyal to Top Rank.
- Rumors of Thurman vs Maidana are absolutely not true.
- Postol is Garcia's mandatory. Very likely Garcia gets an exception and fights someone else, then moves up to 147...which leaves Postol to eventually be the mandatory for the vacant WBC belt.
- If GGG fights Fletcher, HBO will not pick up the fight.
- Rios back in action Aug 2. No definite opponents yet. Rios-Alvarado 3 most likely would be beginning of 2015.
- Abregu's name has been brought up as an opponent for Rios. HBO approved. Rios' manager said no.
- Drug testing for the JMM-Alvarado fight was limited to the normal California commission testing, not adequate in his opinion.
- GGG said in person he would fight Ward...but speculation is that Ward's contract situation makes dealing with him very difficult and the money for that matchup isn't enough for both fighters right now.
- Still talks of trying to make JCC-GGG for fall 2014.
- Official figures for Mayweather-Maidana not announced yet. Hearing it could be slightly over 900k.
- Strong possibility ODH and Schaefer part ways after the Canelo-Lara fight.
- He expects that the WBA will grant the exception and GGG will fight Geale on July 26.
