Shots Fired! Froch Promoter Eddie Hearn Clowns Andre Ward!
"Listen, you know, sometimes you see people on Twitter talking about, 'You gotta fight the best!' If the money's not right, this is a tough, tough sport; these guys put themselves on the line every single time in the gym and in front of you in the ring for your entertainment. They put their health and they put themselves on the line. They've got to be rewarded, and
the problem is with Andre Ward, he couldn't sell out his living room," stated promoter Eddie Hearn, who made it crystal clear that he has no plans of pursuing a rematch with super middleweight king Andre Ward if his fighter, WBA & IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch, defeats George Groves this weekend.
"So, you know, he'll be tuning in tomorrow night. He keeps saying he should fight the winner.
Well there will be 80,000 at Wembley there tomorrow night and the only place Andre Ward is going to see a crowd like that is on TV," Hearn continued, firing more shots at Ward, who many consider to be the second best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. "He's an unbelievable fighter; one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.
Commercially, unfortunately, he means very little. You know, if you ask these people here what would you rather see, Froch-Groves or Froch-Ward; you know, the big domestic fights for me is where it's at."
