but @Newzz i also dont want to hear when danny has fits of struggle boxing that it was because of cutting weight :stopitslime:

Oh, I'm already one who believes Danny Garcia can be out boxed. He's not as good at fighting pure boxers as he is fighting "come forward fighters", because of his counter punching style by nature.

Question for anyone who's been to the MGM Grand arena..
Imma be in Vegas and im contemplating actually going to see Canelo/Lara live.. im a cheap ass nikka though looking at these $60-80 seats.. Is it even worth watching from the nose bleeds at all??

watching a fight in the nose bleeds of mgm aint bad imo, you actually get a good view. now going to the mandalay bay nosebleeds to watch a fight is another thing and not even worth going to.

So, if Hagler could do it, why can't Ward and Garcia?:manny:

You brought up some good points but I will tell you why. For Swift it would be better if he COULD stay at 140 forever....but maybe he just cant. Its a great division and he will have great fighters passing through it all the time. There will never really be a shortage of money at 140 for any period longer than 12 months.

For Ward its different. SMW is not a great or storied division. Its merely a pit stop. There just isnt a lot of names there and likely never will be. Its really the cruiserweight division south. the greatest champion at SMW was RJJ and he was at LHW longer...because LHW is still where the money and the names are. Really.....the greatest SMWs behind RJJ are Calzaghe, Ward, then you start to get into Frankie Liles territory. I wouldnt have a problem with Ward staying there if he can get other names to come there....but it doesnt seem likely. People still really only fukk with MW and LHW. If Ward is cool with that then I am cool. but he really aint because he is going through promoter battles and crying about money and stay fighting in Oakland, etc. thats not a good look if he is trying to big up his division. HBO is only gonna go for it so much longer as well.

Jeff Lacy to face WBC #3 Humberto Savigne
WBC #3 light heavyweight contender Humberto Savigne (12-1, 9 KOs) will battle former world champion Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy (26-4, 18 KOs) next Thursday at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida and live on FOX Sports 1. Promoter Mike Tyson claims former Cuban national team member Savigne can beat both Sergev Kovalev and Adonis Stevenson. The bout is the co-featured attraction to the IBF super featherweight title rematch between Argenis “La Tormenta” Mendez and Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy. The TV-opener is welterweight prospect Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin clashing with Mexican veteran Noe “Platanito” Bolanos.

Lacy is officially stepping stone status :snoop:
