Herrera Hopes Perez Win Leads To Garcia Rematch

Maurcio Herrera was a big underdog when he faced undefeated WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia in Puerto Rico this past March. Herrera surprised many with his performance and many insiders and fans alike feel that he did enough to walk away with the win instead of the majority decision loss that he received.
Even with the loss, Herrera was able to land another big fight and on Saturday he will face WBA interim junior welterweight champion Johan Perez on the Canelo Alvarez-Erislandy Lara pay-per-view undercard. Herrera said that he is very grateful for the opportunity.
"I feel good that I am getting another shot on a big stage. I just want to continue to show people who Mauricio Herrera is and Johan is my next opponent. He is a tough guy and I hope we give the people a great boxing match," said Herrera.
Herrera, like many, was surprised to hear that Garcia will face lightly regarded Rod Salka in his next fight. Herrera campaigned for a rematch in neutral territory and feels that if he defeats Perez, that Garcia won't have any choice other than granting him a rematch.
"He can't run or do anything. There has to be some type of mandatory thing. He has to give me another shot if he wants to keep that WBA. I think that after this fight he will fight me. He knows that the fans want to see it so I think he will have to give me that shot," Herrera told BoxingScene.com.

If they're facing good opponents I see no issue wit it
SHO regular boxing programing has been good but they're only providing it at most once a month
Their August and September schedule is setting up to give more non PPV content
