Can we get Bradley vs Provodnikov 2 on the Cotto vs Rubio undercard:lupe:

All them nikkas gonna want at least a 1 mil if that's the case and Arum will have to throw it on ppv then.

That would be a great regular hbo boxing card though.

Let Alvarado open it up against Jessie Vargas and that's a dope triple header.

nikkas didn't even think cotto would even win.

Let that nikka fight Bradley then canelo.

fukking Floyd hasn't faced none of his damn mandos. Neither has PAC. But you nikkas don't care.

Boxing fans are funny. They want cotto to fight GGG but GGG don't have to face ward. Ward doesn't have to face Kovalev...:smh:

The difference is that in the case of Cotto/GGG, they're in the same division.

You can't duck somebody who isn't in your division

So #matthyssemafia is cool fighting Essa Rios:rudy:

All that outrage for better matchups went right out the window huh:beli:

Lemme guess Matthysse wins early N its :stylin:like Dallas jr all over again

Matthysse struggles N its Essa Rios is such an underrated fighter...Matthysse won erry rd tho:mjlol:

Almost a yr has passed N the ether still burns these nikkas souls

The two situations are different.

Danny Garcia is the reigning, defending, and undisputed Champion of 140. A title he won by defeating Lucas Matthysse in a close, but clear decision victory. Now that he's at that position he's got to remain that dominant force by facing top competition. Anything less than top comp is unnecessary for a fighter alone at the top of the mountain top. Struggling against Juventud Herrera and taking on Jerry Flynn in a meaningless catch-weight, non-title affair is horse manure for a fighter in his position.

Did Matthysse look less dominant in his stoppage against John Molina? Perhaps, but he DID stop Molina, brutally. Do I like the prospects of him facing either Essa Rios or Silver King? No. But he will get a pass by the boxing community. Do you know why?...........

Because he is not the reigning, defending, undefeated, and undisputed Champion of 140. He doesn't even hold a world title.

You would defend a king who doesn't defend his crown? I wouldn't. Not as a fan of the sport nor the individual fighter. This has nothing to do with my stannery of Matthysse, but everything to do with my stannery of boxing. I find it disgusting that someone in the position of Danny Garcia is taking such a nonsense fight. The same way I'd feel if...
-Klitschko beats Pulev and announces his next bout to be with Shannon Briggs :why:
-Mayweather wins and announces his next bout to be with Pablo Cesar Cano :scusthov:
-Andre Ward announces his next bout to be with Badou Jack :wtf:

There's opposition perceived to be weak for certain fighters depending on their situation, then there's complete bullshyt.......... And Rod Salka is the latter.

I agree wholeheartedly with your post though. I'm on record a while ago on here saying that I'd rather see AB lose against top notch competition than beat on the Ice Train or P.N. News' of the world when he was the Champion:yeshrug:

It's cool as a tuneup fight, but if you're supposed to be a top fighter in the division, you should be fighting top competition....especially when you're a Champion.

As much as I troll about Floyd to his stans, like I said yesterday, the truth is in his 46 career fights he's faced 22 current/former/future Champions...that's what you call good comp. Last time he faced a "bum" was when he fought the then Emmanuel Burton, and that was because he was coming off a layoff.

Champions should always face a Top 10 opponent in their division everytime they step into the ring, if not, they might as well drop the belt:manny:

There's no such thing as a Champion taking an "easy fight". That's why you're the Champion in the 1st place.

the last time Floyd faced a bum was when he fought Brussles in Miami.

:mjlol: at throwing counters while calling out football predictions. That arena was empty as fukk too.
