Reason I don't respect Vargas is this, everytime he's taken a step up (UP not against another similar fighter-Ali) he's lost or got a controversial W. The only only only only only---only time he's fought a near p4p guy, BATB coming off the Chaves draw and during tumultuous times with Diaz, he got washed. Was afraid to let any punches go by the 7th round. Basically, he was clearly outclassed by the only top welter he's faced. Yes, he did rock BATB, but even with that he still lost a clear 8-4. His best win is over Ali, who's only 'test' was Abregu.
