I guess you don't know many Puerto Ricans then because even women who don't watch any boxing know Cotto. Its not as big as the casual fandom was for Trinidad but the casuals do know Cotto. Abuelas be getting excited to watch Miguel fight and shyt.I don't know any casuals who know Cotto![]()
I get from perusing this thread that you have staked out a position on the whole Canelo/Golovkin situation but acting like Cotto is not more well known by casual fans than Golovkin is just denying reality.
Just by virtue of his longer career and bigger fights Cotto gets the edge.
Nobody who isn't a boxing head knows or gives a single fukk about Gennady Golovkin. That is just the situation Golovkin finds himself in and is why he needs to understand that he will likely have to eat some shyt in negotiations with Canelo in order to get this fight. The question is whether Golovkin is willing to bet on himself and take a hit in order to get the fight that will propel him into superstardom if he wins.

You wildin breh... GRJ is good but he only fought 2 live fighters his whole career. You can't judge his skill on TBA and his win over Gonzalez was impressive but Gonzalez is who we thought he was.
.....just another case of little g and his team thinking they're bigger than they really are. canelo offers him enough bread to feed his children's children and they spit in his face. ungrateful fakkits
....it's ok though.....we got options over here:CaneloRejoice:....now move your ass up to 168 and make that chump change:CaneloUMAD:
