RIP to my DIY punching bag set up


I was feeling good letting off combos...channeled my inner Jermall Charlo hit that right uppercut N.....

Broke the damn pull up bar... One of the bolts snapped right in half

Pull up bar can support my body weight + 40 pound weighted vest but too to handle the 75 pound bag N my uppercut


Only good thing was my son seent the whole thing N I hit him with the "you see what these hands do boy"

Chavez career high purse is $3 million (plus ppv) vs Sergio Martinez....Canelo is offering JCC double that plus PPV, and JCC name isn't carrying the same weight it did 4 years ago in the Boxing world before the Martinez fight.


He's taken 2 losses, including a quit job, and his wins are only Vera 2x, Reyes, and Britsch since signing that contract to face Sergio....and he has no belts.


$6 million + PPV split (say its 500k ppv buys at $70, giving the cable companies 50% up front off the PPV would leave $17.5 million and JCC getting even a 20% split of it, let alone 21-29%, gives an extra $3.5 million to JCC) is pretty fair to me.


It's not like it's a fight that Canelo is going to have to be on his Ps & Qs for...JCC ain't good enough to beat him. JCC Jr is only getting paid because of his FATHER'S name and legacy. If he was Julio Cesar Molina, , he'd be lucky to even get $2 million from Canelo


Hell....his last fight wasn't even televised, no network wanted his fight, so $6 million + whatever the PPV split is a fair offer to me.

They fight, Fighter A wins a close decision. (7-5)

Is it plausible to say that while Fighter A won the battle, Fighter B won the war? Not in the sense of a moral victory, but that Fighter B actually deserves more credit, even as the loser, in this specific situation?

Nope, a loss is a loss. It just means that Fighter B had more in the tank than initially thought left....but he doesn't get more credit than the winner, because at the end of the day, he still lost

Any other circumstances I would agree 6 Milly + ANY ppv is a must accept deal

I can see your point ChocolateGiddyUp and of course, their negotiations were always going to be tricky bc they are THEE top 2 current Mexican fighters today.

Regardless, whatever happens, it can never be hinted that JCC avoided or ducked, bc JCC has been wanting to get in the ring with Canelo for years....he's just trying to get paid for his name being used to sell the fight which is understandable.


I fully expect this to be the first Canelo as the A-Side ppv to easily crack the 600k+ ppv barrier...and that's thanks to the added boost of having the legendary "Chavez" name attached to it.

You see, THIS is why i keep saying it's Bullshyt breh. GB/Canelo needs to stop playing these number games & just give nikkas a fair split so the fight can be made. All Chavez is asking for is as low as a 70/30 split across the board...and GB/Canelo playing games
