the same with peterson..choc actually agreed with my score (i think it was peterson by 1) and reasoning for it..i was in the minority on that where everyone had him losing wide
however herrera handed out a thorough boxing lesson...8-4, 9-3, 10-2..it was NOT CLOSE..i also said on here before this fight that herrera wasn't no pushover and that he would show what danny really had

It wasn't a hard fight to score at all...all the hard memorable punches was landed by Swift... Even the rd with the point deduction Danny Won

Only thing that was compared was the word easy N I brought up the posters saying JRock was easily beating Charlo

We underestimated the obvious advantages Charlo had in physicality....there aren't any physical advantages for Swift except the 1 inch height advantage. He's slower, the naturally smaller guy, shorter reach....plus Thurman is a more skilled boxer imo.

Swift has KO power with his counters thats a documented fact...N getting hit with some shyt you don't see causes them kos N Danny is great at that

I think he's just as good of a Boxer as they both are....but possesses more power and more speed with his punches and in his ability to escape trouble as well.

The reason PED was able to avoid Swift cutting off the ring was Cuz he was on his Lara shyt N not throwing punches N thats why PED lost them rounds

Thurman can move and punch at the same time, plus he shifts direction very quickly. I don't believe Swift can cut off the ring on him like Shawn Porter did

Herrera - who was outlanded by over 70 power punches N game plan was to spoil Jab N Grab

He wasn't exactly countered by Porter though, he was pressured ad roughhoused by him and that's something Swift doesn't really do. Porter might be sloppy but he moves significantly faster than Danny and overall he has an "I don't give a fukk" bull rush approach he overwhelms his opponents by raw power and doesn't care if he gets hit during it. That can be a big disadvantage but sometimes it can be an advantage as well, against Thurman it seemed to be working even though he lost.

Garcia is a lot more stationary and methodical than Porter and he is also slower both in his feet (that's obvious) and imo also in his hand speed. Timing is Swift's main strength. He is a counter puncher while Porter is... Porter:porrter:

So I don't think we really can take that fight as a starting point give that they have a very different style and approach.


I don't say that it's impossible that Thurman will get caught by something cause his defense isn't that great but I still pick him based on the overall styles.
