They have some similarities, do Angel Garcia and President elect Donald Trump.

They both talk shyt, hardcore shyt, and take to social media to throw hard barbs.

In fact, the father of the WBC welterweight champion is a fan of the orange faced serially bankrupted real estate maven who gets inaugurated tomorrow.

He said so on Wednesday, at a Barclays Center presser to prime the pump for the March 4 Danny Garcia v Keith Thurman title consolidation clash on CBS, backed by Showtime.

“I wanted Danny to meet Donald, I wanted to talk, because he’s at the tower, before he gets sworn in I wanted Danny to shake his hand,” Angel told me. (Scroll to 6:35 mark.)



Would they head over to Trump Tower to get a meet n greet, as Floyd Mayweather did?

“I don’t think we’d be able to get to him. Secret Service, buddy. I told Angel that if he and Danny went over with the belt, I bet they could meet Trump. Good God, Fabio is one of his confidantes…I wonder if they went to Trump Tower. If they did, I wouldn’t bet against Angel snagging a cabinet position, stepping in if one of Trump’s appointees gets denied. Angel Garcia, secretary of education, maybe?
