Matthyssee beat Alexander,(I'll give you that) but that nikka lost to past it Zab Judah.

Start getting aggressive after the 7th round and think you deserve to win a close boxing match brehs :mjlol:
It could have gone either way :birdman:..should have went Lucas's way like @SuikodenII said

Lomachenko: Champs at 130 'Ran Like Rats,' Might Move Up to 135

By Keith Idec

Vasyl Lomachenko wanted his fight against Jason Sosa to be contested for his WBO 130-pound title and Sosa’s version of the WBA championship.

The WBA intends to strip Sosa, though, thus they’ll fight for Lomachenko’s championship alone April 8 inside The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. After multiple opponents turned down the opportunity to fight him, the Ukrainian southpaw is just thankful Sosa stepped up to accept the challenge.

“I understand this is not Sosa’s decision,” Lomachenko said during a conference call Wednesday. “This is a WBA political thing. They stripped him of the title. Of course I would like to unify the titles. But at this point, I’m still happy to fight one of the best guys in the division. He’s the one who took this opportunity.

“Because every champion, they were running like rats from a sinking boat, not coming into the ring. Nowadays, it’s not about the sport, it’s more about the business. All the boxers became businessmen, not boxers. They’re looking just get the money, not the glory.”

Todd duBoef, president of Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc. (Lomachenko’s promoter), confirmed during the conference call that this fight first was offered to Mexico’s Orlando Salido and Panama’s Jezreel Corrales before it was offered to Sosa, of Camden, New Jersey.

Salido (43-13-4, 30 KOs, 1 NC) is the only professional fighter to defeat Lomachenko, who lost a split decision to Salido in just his second professional fight nearly three years ago. Corrales (21-1, 8 KOs, 1 NC) owns the WBA’s super championship at 130 pounds.

Lomachenko (7-1, 5 KOs), who’s heavily favored to beat Sosa (20-1-4, 15 KOs) in their HBO “World Championship Boxing” main event, said he’ll have to move up to 135 pounds sooner than anticipated if after facing Sosa it remains difficult to get 130-pound opponents to fight him for a reasonable amount of money.

“If the things are gonna go like the way it’s going today – everybody’s running from not fighting me, I will be forced to go to 135,” said Lomachenko, who didn’t mention a specific lightweight champion he’d like to fight. “I hope the guys at 135 are gonna be standing up and coming to fight.”

David Benavides May Land WBC Eliminator on April 29

By Steve Kim

On Monday morning at the Rock in Carson, California, rising super middleweight contender David Benavides was getting in some sparring. It's clear that this 20-year old is going places and will soon be in the title mix at 168 pounds.

"You can see he's really disciplined, he's working really hard and he's advancing little by little and everything looks great," said his father/trainer, Jose Benavides Sr. who when asked what was next for his son, told BoxingScene.com:

"We have the opportunity to fight on April 29th for the WBC eliminator and hopefully he does good and he'll be fighting for the world title for the WBC. So he's really focused, really dedicated."

Currently the WBC super middleweight title is vacant with Badou Jack deciding to move up to light heavyweight after his disputed draw against Lucien Bute on January 14th.

Now the top two contenders, Callum Smith of the UK and Anthony Dirrell of the United States, are slated to fight for the vacant belt

As for who Benavides (17-0, 16 KO's) would take on in the WBC eliminator, his promoter Sampson Lewkowicz said - "We don't know yet. It's up to the WBC but definitely we'll have an elimination bout."

Lewkowicz notes that the number three rated contender in the WBC is Avni Yildirim of Turkey. Before this potential match-up is made, he added:

"We need to wait for the world title [to get filled], to close it up."

i wonder when they will formally announce that fight...i can see it being on some PBC card in the spring
I think they gonna make it in the UK

but as I heard Hearn planning to put it on a whole new card not the UC of Joshua vs Wlad or Brook vs Spence
Callum is a scouser guess Hearn thinks he has a big enough following in Liverpool already to headline an event :yeshrug:

Imagine if that Haye match was PPV. The way it was billed as the biggest british heavyweight fight. And Harrison bombed big time. Olympic gold medalist who just couldn't hack it. But that was shocking stuff

WBC creates new belt to celebrate Mexican holidays
The Canelo-Chavez winner will be the first to get their hands on this doozy of a belt.

If there’s one thing in the world that boxing needs, it’s another trinket to parade around. And luckily for us the WBC has created a new commemorative belt that honors two Mexican holidays that typically make up the biggest fight weekends of the year — May 5th and September 15th (Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independance Day).

Considering that we have a big all-Mexican clash slated for May 6 between Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the timing couldn’t be any better as the winner will be the first to receive this highly decorative piece.

The organization makes it clear that this won’t be another championship belt, despite ‘World Champion’ being written across it, but rather a unique piece that celebrates Mexican heritage which is designed and created by Huicholes, indigenous people of Mexico. It reportedly takes about 6 weeks to make each one.

The WBC has named the belt the "Adolfo López Mateos" after the former Mexican president who was a big boxing supporter. After the WBC decides on the final design, the belt will be awarded twice a year to the winners of the big fights surronding those holidays.
Not sure if posted already @ChocolateGiddyUp @((ReFleX)) @Cocaine Biceps :wow:
