Ehh, they both mobile punchers, but I think Haye has better defensive reflexes and isn't as skittish as Thurman is. He'll go after you a lil more to get his.
that's probably true but their style is still similar for me. As you said mobile punchers, both like to work with unorthodox punches, I mean they like to punch in a fly, jumping in with one-twos, also rather relying on head and body movement than material defense, like a guard.
Somewhere I read this type of fighters being called ambush fighters, I think both of them belong in this category.

anybody else thinks Thurman and Haye fights very similar just in different divisions?
In some ways yeah although it seems p4p Thurman seems tougher/more durable and haye faster. Haye seems like a much more dangerous version of pascal unorthodox especially with head movement and very athletic but Haye has crazy power.
Lets hope Thurman doesn't have Haye's glass toe :dame:

Haye destroyed a guy that was rushing in looking for fades (Chisora)

Thurman went life and death with a similar pressure style in Porter. (Porter is more talented imo tho)

Thurman fights more like Freitas than Haye to me. Pascal is just a poor man's Roy Jones.

Although I could see all of them being grouped together as far as styles go.

Yeah and to be honest I feel like thurman may be the most adaptive of the trio as well as having the most heart. Pascal was a dead man walking in there against kovalev and haye wanted no part of klitschko for the most part

Pascal placed some nice blows on Kovalev's head though which even looks nicer now in retrospective after we saw how even Ward struggled big time in the first half of Kov vs Ward to get inside and deal clearer punches.
Pascal did that actually but everything has a price and the price was that he also received more clean punches back which eventually led to TKO losses

Actually I think Chisora is closer to Soto Karass' level than Porter's from past Thurman opponents but otherwise I agree with u

"I see that he's blaming Adonis but I'll tell you why we aren't fighting Joe Smith. He's not fighting Joe Smith because Joe Deguardia believes Joe Smith is the A-side fighter. He wants to control the arena, he wants to control the ticket sales. He doesn't want to commit to options - like we have the champion, he has the contender. So we tried," Michel said. "I spoke to him several times, tried to advance it but it's like he believes he's the A-side and that's the reason that fights not happening.

Adonis Stevenson wanted to fight him, he was never scared. You think he's going to be scared of a guy like Joe Smith. That's ridiculous. Stevenson will fight him any time, anywhere. We just didn't do it because we were not able to find common ground where he could make a deal together and this is why it didn't happen." Michel added - "I didn't want to throw him under the bus or to say anything negative. That's why I kept things very discreet about it and didn't say anything other than,'OK, we'll see, we'll figure out maybe another way down the road." - See more at: Adonis Stevenson's Promoter Fires Back at DeGuardia Over Smith - Boxing News

True in the first fight pascal was countering very well and caught kovalev with good ones. The second fight however :gucci:
It looked like a completely different fight. Pascal only landed like only 4.3 punches per round and like 1 punch in the 5th 6th rounds in front of his own montreal crowd. Kovalev took that man's soul :hubie:
