Thurman is food for brook.

Welcome to the Newzz' Memory Bank, aka Newzz' Bookmark Club bka The Sunken Place:demonic:

Brook is much bigger than Garcia and is a better boxer.

That doesn't have anything to do with a Thurman/Brook showdown breh:manny:

Thurman has better wins at WW than Brook.....including having matched Brook's signature win already.:yeshrug:

Thurman won't get away from Brooks straight punches. This is also something we do know

How do we know this?:dwillhuh:

Thurman has the ability to morph into a mover in the ring. Where he can float around the whole ring, then stop and unloads bombs on you......he's the real life version of Great Tiger from "Punch-Out!!" when he gets on his toes. I don't believe Brook's orbital bone stands up to Thurman's accurate, fast, bombs:manny:

Who's the last fighter who's had their orbital socket fractured, and fought on with it not effecting them for the remainder of their career?:patrice:

Yall better start putting respect on broken facial bones in the sport of Boxing.......they matter:wow:

Shook but fights GGG. :camby:

It was a win-win situation for him:camby:

Career high payday in a fight he was widely expected to lose:russell:

GGG was a 6-1 favorite over him......to put that in perspective, Canelo was a 5-1 favorite over Khan. Everyone knows Kell Shook took that fight as a money grab:umad:

Well, he has to face Charles Hatley first before he can fight Hammer.

The Charlos seem like they are just itching to go "Hollywood" asap.....hopefully, they stay focused on Boxing and don't let the nightlife ruin their potential.

Take a money grab fight against the most destructive puncher the mw division has seen who mws are afraid to fight and still be called shook by an Adrien broner Stan.

He took that fight cus no other top ww wanted to fight him.

Didn't even get dropped by GGG. Finished on his feet while calling GGG in like a real man.

Yeah I know we are just assuming (the ultimate sin) he gets past Hatley, that he will do so. And that might be true doesn't take much to get caught up in that life. You don't wanna cut no corners with a guy like Lubin focused on taking food off your plate.

Iirc he was damn near set to face Jessie Vargas in a unification bout but when The Eubanks started playing around with the GGG negotiations Eddie Hearn basically shot Brook the same deal and he took it.

That's how I remember it.

I swear....something is wrong with you guys to constantly want to bring up or say AB's name in relation to things/posts that have nothing to do with him:dead:

Yall need help:wow:

He took that fight cus no other top ww wanted to fight him.

Kell Shook took the fight, because no other top Welterweight wanted to fight Golovkin?:russ:

Did you just come up with that one on the fly breh?:mjlol:

First, fighting Welterweights when you are a Middleweight is laughable on it's own. It was always a sham of a fight based around only $$$ and exposure.

Secondly, there were MWs willing to face Golovkin as well as JMWs......he chose Brook, because Brook had a bigger fanbase in the UK than the other fighters (Andrade, Lara, Khurtsidze, Eubank) who were at the same time period.

GGG got what he wanted, a big fight in the UK, which spread his name overseas to the casuals, and Brook got what he wanted, a big fight in the UK with a career high payday.

There was 0 pressure on Kell Brook to win the fight....all he had to do was show up and receive the biggest purse he will ever receive in a fight. That's a win-win situation lad.

Didn't even get dropped by GGG. Finished on his feet while calling GGG in like a real man.

He was thanking his corner for throwing in the towel in only 5 rounds, because he knew GGG was about to end his career:mjlol:

Breh........he couldn't even last 15 minutes with GGG, how you spin that into a "real man" is hilarious to me:heh:

You brought up AB, but he went the full distance vs Maidana....and took less damage than Shook did facing a guy with a LARGER size difference vs Maidana than the height/weight size difference of Shook & GGG:yeshrug:

Kell Brook: Trainer saved my career by throwing in towel against Gennady Golovkin

Kell Brook left the O2 Arena on Saturday night with a broken eye socket and will be in hospital on Monday for surgery to repair the damage to his face.

His fifth-round stoppage at the hands of the formidable Gennady Golovkin was in keeping with what many expected.

But while Brook had plunged into uncharted waters by moving up two weight divisions to take this fight, he did not look out of his depth before his trainer, Dominic Ingle, threw in the towel.

Aware that he was in trouble, he thanked Ingle for the decision to stop the fight, saying: “It could have ended up seriously bad. I came back after the second round and said, ‘I can’t see out of the right eye, Dominic’. He knows me, he saw me growing up as a kid.

“He’s like a father figure. It was the right decision and I can fight another day. I was getting caught, and getting caught. It could have ended up seriously bad.”

Ingle’s decision was an unpopular one with the 19,000 fans inside the O2 Arena as it meant a thrilling fight ended prematurely and, potentially, deprived some fans of the knockout many they would have been hoping to see. But in the long term, Ingle’s decision could have saved his fighter’s career as much as his health.

Had Brook been left sprawled on the canvas by a typically ferocious Golovkin sledgehammer, his reputation may have been as badly battered as his eye.

Instead, his brave performance – and timely exit from the ring – once again raises the spectre of a possible all-British showdown with Amir Khan, or even a clash with another of the toughest fighters around in Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez.

“I felt he would always give Golovkin a great fight,” said Eddie Hearn, his promoter. “So whatever happened, I knew his stock would rise. We honestly believed he could win the fight, but I knew if he did lose his stock would rise – and it did.

“We needed to make an impact on the world scene to make sure we had the value to attract the big fights. Now he does.

“The only worry I had in the fight was that he could get knocked out badly
– and that can happen at any time against Gennady Golovkin.”

Hearn said that a fight with Álvarez – which would mean Brook staying above his usual welterweight weight limit of 147lb, albeit potentially at light-middleweight – could be a “natural” fight for the 30-year-old.

But a clash with Khan would prove irresistible, and it would be a contest for which Brook would be happy to return to the welterweight division.

It is the fight British boxing has been waiting for and now both fighters have tried their hands at heavier weight divisions – Khan lost to Alvarez in May – there is a growing feeling that their paths must eventually cross.

While Brook would have woken up to praise from around the boxing world, one fighter not lending his support was Chris Eubank Jr, who tweeted a message to Golovkin saying: “If you want a fight with a real British middleweight … come get some. My corner don’t own towels.”

Kell Brook: Trainer saved my career by throwing in towel against Gennady Golovkin

Shook seen his career flashing before his eyes....he was happy his corner quit for him:umad:

Hearn admitting that it was a win-win situation, because even if Brook lost, Hearn knew it didn't matter because his stock would rise regardless due to the exposure :umad:

Even Eubank threw shots at the quit job which saved Brook from having his career ended in less than 15 minutes in the ring with GGG:umad:

no other top ww wanted to fight brook. pretty easy to read.

You've never stepped into a ring if you think brook quit against GGG. You are delusional. Try at least watching boxing before posting about it.

You're stupid.

What do you mean "no other top WW wanted to fight Brook", when Errol Spence called Kell Shook out AFTER KOing Algieri in April 2016........5 months before Shook to the money grab vs GGG instead:dahell:

“I’m the No1 contender for
Kell Brook,” Spence said. “Kell Brook knows what time it is. We got to get in the ring and fight.”

Rising star Errol Spence Jr blasts out Chris Algieri then calls out Kell Brook

Don't play with me newbie.....I do this:ufdup:

Did you not read Brook SAYING out of his OWN mouth that he was happy his trainer stopped the fight because, “It could have ended up seriously bad. I came back after the second round and said, ‘I can’t see out of the right eye, Dominic’. He knows me, he saw me growing up as a kid.

Get your weight up newbie.....you look like a fool right now:pacspit:

The fighter was happy with the decision to stop the fight.......he approved quitting the fight chap:umad:
