I said that when he was 26. :sas2:

The future isnt in reference to ones age, but is relative to what the game offers at said time.

in reference to Crawford, when I said it, we were talking post-Mayweather era as "the future"

so out of the top P4P fighters, Kov, GGG, Ward, and Rigo are all 3-6 years older than Crawford, and Loma and Roman are the same age. :what: yet, he aint the future. :snoop: none of those guys are huge PPV stars. and please dont say GGG is because Kell got paid way more than he did for their fight. :stopitslime:

Crawford not a big PPV star yet, but its going to start thinning out at the top with most of these guys passing their primes. by your definition Lubin only qualifies as the future, but he is a long ways from household recognition and PPV stardom. :comeon:

what has held Crawford back has been his promoters unwillingness to feed his meal ticket to him. you dont become a PPV star without beating a former one.

The Future is now breh....and Crawford is still mostly unknown to the casual fan, so he's not running the game.

And to answer the bolded, Canelo is the one running the game. Crawford isn't even a top 5 name in the sport currently, and he's P4P plus is a 3x Champion over 2 Divisions.

There's no way he's the future of Boxing breh:hubie:

The Future of Boxing is the guy who's running the sport....I think Lubin has the skills & personality to take the mantle over the next 5 years. I may be wrong, but right now, he's a safe bet along with Chance The Boxer

“He’ll knock him out, and then he’ll come back and be back on Showtime,” said Arthur Pelullo of Banner Boxing. “It’s just a start. Now he comes back to America with the title, and now we have more leverage. He’ll be the two-time junior middleweight world champion. There’s a lot of fights out there on Showtime for him.

I do my business with Stephen Espinoza. I don’t know Al Haymon outside of ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye,’” Pelullo said. “He’s not against fighting his guys with Demetrius Andrade. He’s got to make fights, too. What’s he going to do with Charlo, not fight Andrade? If he doesn’t fight him, we’ll fight somebody else. At this stage, Al Haymon has not indicated any reason not to fight Andrade through my relationship with Stephen Espinoza. On the contrary, he says he’s willing to.”

Andrade and Rigeaux right now. :to:

:mjlol:

i like boo boo but :comeon: banner can't be serious. he don't even have any leverage right now :dead: showtime ain't knocking down his door to get him on there and ALlah is running things over there. even if he does win, he ain't even the REAL wba champ, just some goofy ass wba regular title. Lara got the real belt.

He wins the belt, he's mandatory for Lara's belt which guarantees him a big fight in 2017.

I cant even remember the last time Lara fought his mandatory, and Im going to make sure to keep pressing the WBA to enforce the mandatory fight:youngsabo:

Funny... the same reason why nikkas shyt on Bob (making the same fights over and over) is the same reason they give Haymon praise.

The top guys will fight each other at 154. After that, do they fight each other again simply to freeze out DA?

Rematch?? :dahell:

:mjlol:

Fight was definitely competitive enough for a rematch. I just don't think it was competitive or dramatic enough for an immediate rematch. Now the Peterson/Swift should have gotten an immediate rematch because the championship rounds were compelling as fukk.

This is where Thurman and Danny dropped the ball. They started out with fireworks, but then fizzled out.. Reminds me of when Spartacus tapped out against Crixus in their first fight in the arena. Had that one magistrate nikka on some :mjpls: " A sour bite to end the meal" type shyt.

I think Swift should fight a Collazo or somebody with a name that's on a roll.

Thurman should get a solid fight in Florida and keep the momentum going.
