I'd probably pick that Pac against Keith but now I'd lean toward Thurman.

Do you think Thurman entered his prime and he will only decrease from here or he still has upside?

I think Thurman has been in his prime for a while now. He's like in the middle of it physically. Mentally he's still improving because he knows how to do enough to win fights against top level durable guys. Its just that he has to pick it up a notch and widen the gap in these types of fights. Other than that, he's definitely on his way.

It ain't Golovkin's fault a fukking welter with quick hands had to bounce combos off his head before one of the biggest punchers at 160 decided to finally face him.:mjlol:

as for Gamboa, he looked like shyt. Dude was punching from 3 feet away and could barely get his distance right. His accuracy was worst than Devon Alexanders. He threw so many punches that seemed to be inches off from connecting. This nikka didn't want to move his lower body closer for shyt like he was afraid of getting hit back. Even at this stage he was much faster than Alvarado, but refused to take a chance and go for it. Instead he decided to swat a thousand air particles with those flurries to act like he was doing something.

I know he was rusty, but got damn. He shouldn't have looked that bad. :snoop:

I don't get the Diddy shyt?

@ChocolateGiddyUp and @krackdagawd always resort to the fact his nipples are puffy during fights, hinting at PED usage:mjpls:

Choc referred to him directly as Puffy nipples in our buildup towards Shook vs Spence:
All this Puffy nipples walks on water talk...he better fukking deliver

and I put the Newzz spin on it

How ironic you call him Puffy, bc that IBF Belt.....we about to take dat:takedat:

Exactly.

It was supposed to be a "coming out" party for him, in with an overmatched opponent. What happens? GAMBOA ends up being the one tasting canvas and looking struggle and overhyped:dead:

I bet Arum watched that fight like:

BGB%2BArum%2BKing%2BLaughing%2BGIF.gif

Gamboa & Rigo both looked very unimpressive in their last TV fights:scust:

I'd favor Thurman over Pac just because he hits too hard, is too mobile and big. This prolly an even fight if this was the Pac from the Clottey and Margarito bouts, but as of now he'd be up against it.

The Pac that fought Clottey and Tony would make Thurman look foolish. Thurman is just a good fighter, nothing special at all. Pac was a legitimate special fighter during that time frame.
Before anybody comes in here complaining I'm saying Thurman's overrated, I don't think he is. I just don't think the WW division is all that right now. It's got plenty of good fighters but no truly great ones. Maybe Spence and Bud if he moves up, we'll see

Sometimes you don't have to be special in order to be a bad match up for someone. Thurman might lose to that version, but he'd definitely get his. Prime welter Pac never fought anyone like Thurman. I have no problem with him being favored in that fight. Manny back then was special and certainly a handful for anyone then. But now his punch resistance has decreased, so I don't think he'd stand up to them One Time bombs like that now.

With that said, I don't think Prime Pac walks through those Thurminator right hands like they nothing either. He'd definitely have to calm down some of that recklessness he fought with back then.

Demetrius Andrade's Promoter Eyes Lara, Charlo, GGG, Canelo

Philadelphia, PA/Bronx, NY/Providence, RI - Newly crowned WBA Junior Middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade threw a staggering 953 punches according to Compubox, in his title win over Jack Culcay this past Saturday in Ludwigshafen, Germany.

Andrade, who many regard as the most talented fighter in the 154 pound division, showed his versatility as divvied up his punch output nicely between jabs and power punches by throwing 519 power punches and 434 jabs.

The junior middleweight average is 684 punches per 12 rounds.

Andrade saved his best work for the home stretch when he threw 91 and 92 punches respectively in the Championship (11th and 12th) rounds. In round 11, he connected on a fight best 40 punches. Andrade outlanded Culcay in 11 of the 12 rounds.

Andrade of Providence, Rhode Island became a two-time champion with a split decision over Culcay be scores of 116-112 twice and 115-114 for Culcay.

"Demetrius showed what a true world champion is supposed to do. He traveled to Germany and took the title from the champion. Now we will look towards the future, and there are many desirable fights out there. There are the champions like Erislandy Lara, Jarrett Hurd and the Charlo /Hatley winner. Of course the big names in the room are Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin," said Banner Promotions President, Artie Pelullo.

"Those are fights that we would love to make and Demetrius wants them as well. Demetrius will defend his title with pride, and we will look to get him in the most meaningful fights."

Who's next? Lara, Hurd, or Charlo........ :demonic:

I 100% agree. Especially with Pac's bad defense & his tendency to lunge in head first. As Troy King says he could catch that #garlicbutter right hand counter & be sunny side up.

no I wasn't speaking on that
I said he competed in a trash ass division for years and just waited for the division to get better by itself instead of going up for more challenges. Golovkin became 34 by the time his division finally started to heat up.
And I wrote down earlier why I think this division was so bad.
Jacobs also only gained that much relevancy that now he is - probably rightfully - considered as GGG's toughest and best opponent since the Quillin fight. 3 years ago when Golovkin should have moved up imo Jacobs wasn't really in the discussion that much and Canelo wasn't a middleweight yet either.

Regardless of me thinking Golovkin is really a good fighter it still bothers me how he gets the benefit of the doubt and this otherworldly hype while other fighters who truly tested themselves and have better names on their resumes get shytted on...

I'm not a Swift fan like not at all but look at how Garcia gets called a cherry picker and etc... while he beat prime Khan, prime Matthysse, how Thurman after his biggest career win is shytted on and criticized by some, how Ward is shytted on cause of a controversial win. :wow:

in short: double standards are real

Beating elite opponents on close fights > beating fringe contenders and B- level guys dominantly. For me at least.

Most people can't even tell at which point they pushed Golovkin in the P4P top 5 lists. They can't tell cause he hasn't got a signature win which would have earned it to him. He got there based on hype and "eye tests" not resume.
I know that Golovkin was an avoided guy for a long time but I never buy the narratives where the lack of significant fights on the resume of a supposed elite fighter is ONLY other's fault and Golovkin only plays part in the story as a victim who couldn't do anything. Nah, fukk that... :hhh: Hell even Rigo could fight and beat Donaire... :mjlol: Rigo who is hated by promoters and channels too.
That's why I say that if Golovkin is really elite and he struggled to find worthy opponents in boxing's arguably worst division above 118 at that time then he should just moved up. Probably right after he Geale fight...

I only skimmed through your literary frustrations, but.....

It's funny how 160 is now looking to be more popping than this stale ass 168 division that nikkas wanted GGG to move up too. Jack is gone and Degale might move up too. Besides the Dirrells and a somewhat green Ramirez, ain't shyt been up there, but :manny:

160 and 175 >>>168

:mjlol: at comparing Rigo/Donaire to GGG situation. They both had the same promoter and neither were gonna fight Mares so why not have them fight each other.
