He is right in a way. Which is why we rarely see heavyweight's in the p4p mix.Crawford doesn’t think Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) deserves the top spot on pound-for-pound lists largely because he has fought exclusively at middleweight. “When I think of pound-for-pound, I’m thinking different weight classes,” Crawford said. “Triple-G has conquered one weight class. And he just fought another champion in the same weight class that was threatening [Daniel Jacobs]. He wouldn’t move up to fight [Carl] Froch. He wouldn’t move up to fight Andre Ward when Andre Ward was at 168.” - See more at: Terence Crawford: Andre Ward is No. 1 P4P and I'm No. 2 - Boxing News

scust at this racist demon's fans
I think there are exceptions though but mainly if a fighter constantly competes in a so strong division. Most of the P4P greats moved up a few times though of course except HWsCrawford doesn’t think Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) deserves the top spot on pound-for-pound lists largely because he has fought exclusively at middleweight. “When I think of pound-for-pound, I’m thinking different weight classes,” Crawford said. “Triple-G has conquered one weight class. This happened again recently with Fonfara and Sad Chad Dawson

Question..... I asked before but back then I was asking about the LOSER of said situation
I was watching a YT highlight video of Rocky Marciano and 1 of his biggest wins was a come from behind KO win against Jersey Joe Walcott... then I started thinking...
Does it take away from a KO, when you're losing the fight or is a KO a KO?
Again, this is for the winner of a bout, via KO, that is actually losing the bout by a sizable margin and has no chance at winning on the cards... does it take away from a KO win to be losing up to that point? Like, would Marciano/Walcott 1 be a fight to say "That's 1 of his best fights ever, that's why he's the #1 heavyweight all time" or do you see a situation like this and say "Yeah, that KO was great, but his performance wasn't, therefore doesn't showcase his true greatness."
Take away or nah?
Has this happened with any of your favorites?
I was also thinking about Whitaker-Hurtado and Whitaker was looking terrible despite the highlight reel ending...
