Keith Whiplash Thurman - these days it seems hes spending half the year injured but even he went from fighting Porter straight to Garcia (NO tune ups needed)
Almighty Andre SOG Ward went right back in to fight Kovalev after winning cause cacs kept crying robbery.. we coulda ran off to fight some lil tune up like Joe Smith but we went back in and gave Kovalev them deavors
#GGGift beat Danny Jacobs (he actually lost but thats for another day) and even though he needs to run that fight back asap hes fighting Canelo
So why does Garcia get passes? Why do we need to see him in a tune up preparing for another L against Porter? The real champions today aren't taking tune ups, surely if he were a real champ he would jump back into fighting a top opponent to prove himself
fukk Garcia I hope Porter puts the beats on him and I'd much rather see Thurman-Porter II over Thurman-Garcia 2, only reason that fight was some 8-4 shyt was because Thurman went inactive in the late rounds otherwise that would have been some 9-3/10-2 shyt

true but Maidana also almost put him away later in the fightwhich made it even more
and that was the crude pre-Garcia version
I don't even know if I know a fighter from recent years where a new coach would have been so significant as with Maidana and Garcia. Garcia kept the good things in him, didn't make him change his style but still made him 2X better than he was before and all that well into his career not when he was 22 or so.

It is a good decision. Timmy can still compete with most guys, but you can see he is declining and he has been in a lot of brutal fights recently. Time to get out and enjoy retirement. I personally don't like him as an announcer, but if someone wants to keep paying him that is a great career move.
