I'm a big Martinez fan but I think JCC is taking him down.

Dude has proven he has a granite chin and has been looking more and more dominant in his last few fights. Sergio also has a tendency to get gassed in the middle to later rounds and I can see Chavez walking this guy down come the 8th or 9th and just beating that drum.

That's my biggest worry. Sergio tends to slow down after the 4th and come back strong in the 8th-9th round. He fights best in the last 3 rounds but I don't know if he will be able to hang around with Junior hitting those big body shots and walking through every punch Sergio throws.

Andy Lee was doing good work early until he realized he wasn't doing shyt to Junior, and then he got destroyed. I really hope Maravisha doesn't suffer the same fate.

If Canelo wins his next fight you guys think he will end up being Cotto's 12/1 opponent?

Too soon, timewise?

He better fight cotto. in my eyes Canelo aint shyt till he fights an elite
(not Mosely).

He has 40+ fights at the age of

He's got those wins fighting Mexican bums :rudy:

If Canelo doesnt take the fight, I really hope Sergio fights gets it. Rumor has it that Cotto doesn't want no part of him tho.

Only reason I'm pulling for Canelo is in hopes that them two meet in December.

I saw there was Floyd rematch rumors floating around in June and, aside from Canelo, I really don't see any big fight that makes sense for Cotto at this point.

Should be a good fight.

Granite?

Honestly he's proven he take a lot of punches and continue moving forward, a lot of that has to do with the fact that he's fighting closer to his regular weight so he isn't weakened as much by the weight cutting. He's a 175lber who paraded around 147 and 154 to get his record up...he's currently parading around at 160...

Lee and Rubio were the strongest punchers he's faced, but Rubio is a volume/pressure puncher (something he could not do against a HUGE rehydrated Chavez) and Lee, albeit glove controversy, ain't KOing anybody backing up and could not survive a dog fight with the durable Chavez Jr., Lee ain't durable like that to begin with, just Irish tough.

This will probably be Chavez's last fight at 160, but I'd love to see him face the winner of Golovkin/Proksa

Chavez's only shot is stopping Martinez, and I don't see it happening against an ultra motivated SGM, Martinez Unanimous Decision.
