Is Theophane really ranked #45
So, AB cant fight Theophane (who actually called him out, AB just answering the call
).....but nobody had nothing to say when Champion Roman Gonzalez fought a dude unranked fighter just 2 fights ago, tons of GGG's fights (as a Champion) were against unranked opponents, do I even need to dig in the crates and go to the legends (JCC Sr, B-Hop, etc)?
Nah, but forreal it IS a weak matchup and there's no denying that
But we back on top, WE calling the shots, and we facing who WE want to face when WE want to face them
Hell, if yall already forget, we coming off of fighting 2 former Champions in back to back fights....and nikkas still wont give AB time to rest.
This would possibly be our 4th fight of the year coming off 2 Championship level opponents, including 1 who was Top 5 in the division above us and the other coming just off losing his belt in a close fight that could've went either way in his previous fight.
Damn, let the man get him a Valentin Leon (unranked with a record of 38-29-3 at the time of the fight against Gonzalez 8 months ago) type of fight like the #1 P4P just did

So, GGG is as high as a 20/1 favorite (and as low as 16/1 favorite) over David Lemieux and in the co-main, Roman Gonzalez is as high as a 30-1 favorite (and as low as 20/1 favorite) over Brian Viloria.
I don't wanna hear anymore complaints about PBC matchups being "mis-matches". The PPV can be exciting or whatever you wanna call it, but so are all mismatches when you know the favorite is gonna crush the opponent. I thought Canelo vs Kirkland was exciting too.

Carson, California- Viktor Postol (28-0, 12KOs) was not a big underdog going into his fight with Lucas Matthysse last Saturday night, but he wasn't the favorite either. When he made Matthysse take a knee and get counted out in the tenth round, that surprised a lot of people. The win gave Postol the WBC junior welterweight championship.
“My emotions are filling me over right now,” Postol told BoxingScene.com. “I feel great. My dream was to take the WBC back to Ukraine and that’s what I did. I wasn’t planning for a knockout. My corner told me after the eight round so now I’m the knockout artist.”
The conversation of WBO champion Terence Crawford, who like Postol is promoted by Top Rank, was immediately brought up. Postol said it’s a fight that was offered to him earlier this year - and he accepted - and he plans to repeat that acceptance when the fight is offered again.
“There was conversation about that but we can talk about that now,” Postol said. “I know him well. I've seen his fights, he’s a high level fighter. We’ve already been offered this fight and taken it and I’ll take it again. Just like Matthysse, there’s no doubt in my mind I can beat him and have another belt.”
Crawford (26-0, 18KOs) is back on October 24th against Dierry Jean.
Many were surprised at the knockout of Matthysse because coming in Postol had only secured 11 knockouts in 27 fights. But Postol attests that low ratio to the brand of gloves that he primarily used in Ukraine, and credits the increased power to his trainer Freddie Roach.
“If I started fighting in the United States, I’d probably have more knockouts because of the gloves we use in the Ukraine, it’s more for an amateur style. I have to give Freddie Roach support and praise, Freddie told me the right thing and it worked in the end. I achieved my goal. I was waiting for the second part of the fight, I wanted to see what he had left in the second half of the fight.”

Crawford is with Top Rank/HBO and is fighting in 2 weeks. AB is with PBC/Showtime and intends on fighting again this year...that's a no-go.
Provodnikov? He's 1-2 in his last 3 fights with his 1 victory coming over the corpse of Juan Luis Castillo. He hasn't earned a shot at The Man

The praise that Freddy is getting this year is crazy to me. This is like Robert Garcia's run a couple of years ago. I wonder tho, even with the Manny/Floyd fight and the Prov/Matthyse fight, does he still have a shot at winning TOY.
