The thing about Jacobs belt is it is the lesser WBA belt, where GGG holds the real title. The WBA is supposed to order GGG-Jacobs because by Jacobs having the belt he is basically GGG's mandatory for the real WBA title. It would be a way to condense the phony belts going around.

I believe that Canelo isn't concerned with belts and I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop the WBC belt.


I think the overriding factor is it will have to be on their network too. HBO isn't letting their guys be on PBC. Look at GGG-Jacobs, there is no way HBO will let GGG fight Jacobs on PBC. If the fight is made PBC and Jacobs would have to agree to be on HBO.

I made the post with the assumption it would have to be on hbo. A fighter signed to a network like HBO is not fighting on another channel unless it's a special exception.

That's cool but this isn't a perfect world, the nikka bringing in the $ is the whose rules you have to play by. No different in the business world but we have to be all about it in boxing.

Again, yall claim Canelo fought 3 straight Middleweight fights, but yet can't produce any organization rankings or RING/TNBR/ESPN rankings showing Canelo ranked at Middleweight prior to him beating Miguel Cotto. Why's that?


If +1 for non-title bouts weren't a rule, surely someone who fought 3 straight fights at Middleweight according to you 2 would have been ranked in the Middleweight division instead of being ranked #1 at Junior Middleweight by them...right?

My understanding of Las Vegas +1 is...

Broner vs Molina...The fight was contracted at 140... AB came in Heavy...because its a Non Title fight N AB was less then one pound over he didn't have to try to lose the weight or get penalized

Thats totally different then having fights contracted at 155

Las Vegas +1 for a 155 limit fight would = 156

As far as Canelo weighing 155 but still be considered a Junior Middleweight... That shyt happens erry day

Dominic Wade NEVER weighed in at 160 until the GGG fight but was considered a middleweight N ranked by the IBF
