@LauderdaleBoss tell what u thought bout charlo-jrock too when get time.
Going in I picked Jrock due to his balanced skill set, aggression, and hunger. I still saw it as a 50-50 fight. Charlo was the more talented gifted fighter but both are near each other in levels though.
I thought the fight was about even when it was stopped with Jrock having the momentum. Dude couldnt miss with those right hands. He was rocking dude, but I dont think he was hurting him.
Charlo found the perfect gap to throw and land the perfect punch. shyt was a fight changer and thats all she wrote. Jrock was doing good, he was evading a decent amount of shots while also landing his own. I didnt know that nikka was that chinny tho. That jab seemed to hurt him and you could tell he felt those Charlo bombs. Trout was getting buzzed too, but he took them better.
I think Jrock should have approached this on some Lamonet Peterson shyt and stayed on Charlo's chest with the pressure. Smother that offense and dont get on the end of his punches. He should have really went at the body like Trout was doing, but follow up more to the head in the mid rds.
It was a great fight and this is what happens when the top 10 dudes fight and really put it on the line. None of that doing just enough to win the round and then get mad when the fight is close and controversial.
