when one guy throws a right hand and a hook, and one guy throws a counter right uppercut, who hits who is whoever has good timing and spacing.
the guy throwing the counter right uppercut has to try to squeeze his counter right uppercut in between the right hand and the hook.
then roll under and out.
and the guy throwing the right hand and a hook has to try to squeeze his hook in there quick so he has no room to throw the counter right uppercut in between.
this is good timing and spacing
this is bad timing and spacing.
you can see how big of a delay he has here. this created a really big window for the counter right uppercut to come in between his right hand and his hook. maybe you cant work on chin, but you can work on timing and spacing.
back in the day guys used to throw right hands and then bring their right hand out in front of their jaw so they dont get hit with counter right uppercuts.
and this way you can just reach out and grab the counter right uppercut in your hand nice and easy.
