lol it was fun watching ruslan play patty cake with Bradley consciousness.lol

but he could have easily outboxed him and moved....but he had to prove he was macho man. at least he did try to give the fans an exciting fight. though.

always wondered why they never ran it back....something happened. I forgot.

Damn no idea why they didn't rematch. Bradley fought pacman and came off that controversial decision. I guess he really wanted to show that he was a bad mofo. But that man had several moments where provodnikov shang tsung'd him and had quick time events to keep his soul

bradley-ruslan set shyt off for 2013..first months of that year was bullshyt..cancellations, postponements, and shyt...the only reason why i bothered to watch that card was because i was hungry to see any boxing until rios-alvarado 2 popped off a couple of weeks after..that whole card turned out to be dope...jessie vargas-wale omotoso did their thing on the undercard and bradley-ruslan was one of the damndest brawls ive ever seen...i thought it was going to be a typical boring bradley fight and would outbox ruslan easily...that fight brings up some issues as now most people dont think too highly of ruslan..but no one has come close to ko'ing bradley, pac and **** included, than he did..ruslan took some punishment but he dished out more to bradley..bradley was nearly done in this fight..and honestly if it wasnt for this fight i doubr he would have fought as textbook as he did with JMM.

True.He was in worse condition in that fight than alvarado was in the rios fight when it was stopped. And imagine fighting back to back wars with ruslan and marquez in 1 year? And you know marquez is always down to brawl. shyt I think after that fight no one was trying to brawl with provodnikov. Not Matthysse not Molina no one. That chin is made of adamantium

they say he was cute but being he was a kronk boxer he probably had a nice mean streak too. amatuer star who just never seemed to make it big in the pros. but there are so so many guys who never do.



g man had a very nice right hand too.

some things i check for on a right hand is full hip rotation, full weight transfer over the front leg, follow through. so by those standards, this right hand has everything. punchers may be born, but to my thinking, its hard to throw a weak right hand when you can do those things.

If the right has all those things and miss, what's the defense then ? He looks like man is wide open to a left hook.

Optimally you bring the left hand back to guard the jaw vs the left hook, even if you miss your head naturally slips a counter right and the worse case you get hit w a balance shot

the punch you are thinking of is a check hook.

there are two ways to evade a check hook over your right hand. one way is to simultaneously move your head in on and/or under the check hook in the same motion.

when you throw a right hand, the right way, your head will naturally preform a slipping motion as your hips rotate and your body weight transfers over your front leg.

this slipping motion is what causes your head to evade a check hook over your right hand.

by comparison when your head does not naturally preform a slipping motion when you throw your right hand your head is more of a sitting duck for a check hook.

or you can just steal your right hand and come under and out.

this is very hard to counter. you can drop under check hooks and get in and out. very cute way to steal a right hand.

GGG had to deal with WW hand speed, which gave him problems in spots.

I was going to ask y'all all about this but since you've alluded to it, minus well piggy back on this....when it comes to punching power, are fighters "born" with that or is it something that can be added via technique and mechanics?

I ask because when I listened to RJJ commentate the JMM-Pac fight, he mentioned weightlifting helping him in his knockdown and knockout of Pac man when he was never able to KD him in their 3 previous fights. The KD and KO punches were punches he was landing in the first 3 fights but it didn't floor him.
