Meldrick taylor is one I'd reference. The guy had some of the fastest hands ever and decent skills but went toe to toe with julio cesar chavez

yea that's the thing. floyd has made legit great fighters look ordinary. when he gets hit with one flush punch, it's a shock. little g gets hit with legit combo's damn near every fight, then he plays it off like he let it happen. brook is the best fighter he's ever fought and he was getting his head snapped back in every single round. that wasn't overblown, that actually happened. little g is no defensive guru where anybody is surprised when he gets touched. that's a regular occurrence every little g fight.

I think sometimes he really do neglect defense a little but I also don't buy into the "I let them hit me" talk.

very good point..esp when you make light of the fact that one boone uppercut had ward on the canvas looking like a baby learning how to crawl...you dont hear talks of boone lumped up ward good in that fight

Ehhh kinda.

Gamboa was legit competitive with Crawford in those early rounds and he hurt dude, all while being undersized as hell. That's a legit critique, but then again Gamboa isn't' a scrub.

Boone has a reputation for giving most top guys tough or competitive fights.

Those examples don't' compare to Stevens or Rosado landing a few solid shots and then getting Akuma combos for the rest of the fight, but cats still finding some sort of moral trophy to give them nikkas.

Guys like Brook, Ouma, and Monroe who were solid dudes that had some legit good moments against GGG is different than praising the one right hand Geale landed before he got smashed into the canvas.

That's all Im saying.

GGG is great for his era imo. nikkas can just agree to disagree with that. He's dominant as fukk and is prolly 3 or 5 top level wins away from HOF consideration. He just needs to beat at least 1 or 2 elite fighters imo

with that said, Floyd and Roy, Pac, Hopkins, Holyfield, etc... all eclipse this nikka's greatness. but that should be obvious tho.
