hurtado had some hard luck....he was winning the fight if im not mistaken on all 3 cards before sweet pea rescued himself
He was. he dropped Sweet Pea in the first round and then again in the fifth and basically was dictating the pace of the fight for the majority of it till Pernell went :demonic:
Pernell had the De La Hoya fight lined up but he needed to beat Hurtado to get it and its like he flipped a switch and just started fighting for his future with a certain level of anger and desperation.

Great article with Jake Donovan going at the boxing media for their hypocrisy and inconsistencies when it comes to discussing PBC and everyone else:ohlawd:

Yeah I ended up reading it and :wow: I know ALs low profile makes they blood boil doing all this shyt without being all at the press all in the post fight interviews :blessed:

Pretend Broner has only fought at 140 brehs:comeon:

Danny Garcia is the reason Postol beat Matthysse....call a spade a spade. Postol benefited from Swift's, Molina's, Provodnikov's wars with Matthysse and had the hologram version of Matthysse on fight night.

Tell me what makes you think Postol is so good. Who has he beat in his career that wasn't already a shell of themselves like Matthysse was? :jbhmm:

Not "so good" but he is a solid B level guy imo with an awful style to anyone. I personally don't like his style as I mentioned he is mechanic but regardless of that he is a solid fighter. B level, Broner to me is probably B+ or something. Add Postol's awkward style and you have a very competitive fight. I don't think Broner would have an easy job with him. Crawford was slippery ad fast enough to get through that 187 cm reach pole jab, honestly I don't know if Broner could do the same. Broner's handspeed is very god but this rather needs fast feets and good angles and Broner most of the times fights pretty stationary. Shells up in the philly crab ad throw fast combos from the pocket. Broner usually isn't in a big disadvantage in reach either, he was 5 cm reach disadvantages against Molina, Malignaggi and DeMarco but not 12 cm disadvantage and none of those fighters fight that tall and use their height and reach as a leverage as Postol does. Postol is te definition of fighting tall, he is a mini Wlad w/o the (P4P) power but still got enough power to keep opponents honest.

So for me it's questionable whether Broner could get past this disadvantage especially that he tends to be set on his feet and has a low workrate when he can't fight in his preferred pace. If he's in the pocket it's all good for him but when he's forced out of his comfort zone he seems to be lost and clueless about what to do.
Postol has that problem too, the lack of adaptability as we can saw on the Crawford fight but from the styles of the two fighters I just think Broner is the one who should find some cure to negate Postol's awkward style paired with that reach advantage and not the other way around.

I'd be curious about that fight that's sure. I think it would be a good test for both.
