none of this shyt matters. Canelo is the biggest star in boxing, period. he's the golden ticket and every fighter in the sport will agree. all that HOF talk don't mean nothing. it's about who sells tickets and who puts asses in the seats. and at this moment nobody does it better than canelo. even floyd said he's the face of Boxing now. and when you're the face of Boxing, you get to demand whatever you want. end of story. it's not like canelo is out here raping anybody. everybody he fights gets career high pay days. there is no fighter in the sport who's more in demand than canelo. damn near every fighter from 147 to 168 wants to fight him. whether he's HOF means nothing as far as negotiations go. He's the A side, he makes the demands. that's how its worked from the beginning of time, and that's how it will continue to work.
as far as virgil....nothing he says on canelo can be taken seriously after how he reacted in the post fight interview after khan got slept. Dude was talking all that shyt how khan was gonna beat him, then khan got put into a coma and Virgil is damn near in tears begging canelo to fight little g. it was pathetic. but as long as SOG is a canelo stan, we're good. :CaneloRejoice:

Half the nikkas in the boxing hall of fame are nikkas non of us have heard of. It's not that hard to get in brehI honestly don't think Canelo has legitimately solidified his case for the HOF as of now besides just being fukking popular and selling a lot of tickets and ppv.
Fans are equating being the A side to being great. Canelo is just very good. He hasn't shown me anything in the ring that is great yet.
For example, great fighters destroy/ruin prime good fighters like Vargas and Reid. They don't win razor thin decisions where you gotta rewatch it in slow motion with Gladys Knight and the Pips playing in the background to see if they won clearly.
If nikkas disagree with me cool. I have no problem with that. Everyone has different standards for excellence.
I just think you have to do more than.....
beat Trout and Lara in razor thin decisions that could go either way.
Win a competitive but clear decision instead of knocking out a past it smaller Cotto
Play Fight Night Champion UK Career mode on easy difficulty.
Beat up past it Angulo, Mosely, and Baldomier
Beat up inactive Wolfeless Kirkland
Throw Tekken practice combos on Joseito Lopez
If Bradley retired now, he'd be HOF
If Swift beat Thurman cleanly and retired right afterwards, he'd be HOF
and that shyt would be by defying odds and beating good competition clearly (for the most part), not just being popular or the A side all the time.
nikkas just can't be objective when it comes to evaluating nikkas they stan. I'll be the 1st to admit that guys like GGG, Superman, Thurminators, MonsterSquad are several big victories away from HOF consideration. They might be on some decent runs, but if they retired now, none of them would be seriously considered for the HOF.
but nikkas will say but but but Gatti is in the HOF like that makes it any better (RIP Gatti though, no shade)
just my 2 cents
If it was easy to get in then Julian Jackson would be in the HOF right nowHalf the nikkas in the boxing hall of fame are nikkas non of us have heard of. It's not that hard to get in breh

Daniel Dubois Inspired By Mike Tyson, Aims To Be British Version

DANIEL DUBOIS’ love affair with boxing started in his living room watching Mike Tyson documentaries.
Now he is looking to emulate the American puncher by becoming world heavyweight champion.
Dubois, 19, will make his professional debut on April 8 after being snapped up by promoter Frank Warren, despite being GB Boxing’s big hope for Tokyo 2020.

He is not going to beat Tyson’s record as the youngest heavyweight world champion, which stands at 20 years and four months, but he could beat Herbie Hide’s record (22 and six months) as the youngest Brit.
“I definitely believe I can be,” said Dubois. “Everyone wants to be champion of the world and that is the ultimate goal.”
Fighting is definitely in Dubois’ blood, with his sister Caroline a European junior champion and younger brother Prince a future prospect as well.
Dubois’ own journey in the sport started when his father, David, sat him down in front of some boxing videos in their Deptford home and an excited eight-year-old was instantly hooked.
“He used to sit me in front of video tapes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis,” he said. “I would also watch a lot of Frank Bruno, I really liked Bruno.
“The heavyweight division fascinated me – Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, all those guys. I would watch Mike Tyson documentaries over and over.
“My dad then brought me down the gym. I started enjoying it and once I started winning titles, I started to love it even more.”
Dubois won plenty of them as an amateur and was a member of GB’s podium squad before being plucked away by a pro promoter, which came as a surprise with Tokyo 2020 gold up for grabs.
“Anything can happen in three or four years,” he said. “It is all about timing and I feel this is my time. I believe I made the right decision.”
Dubois knows the comparisons are going to be made with London 2012 Olympic gold medallist and IBF champion Anthony Joshua.
But when he is asked if he can see himself in any of the greats he watched on video, he said: “I want to prove myself in the ring before making comparisons. I want to prove myself and then maybe can say stuff like that about me.”
