Wilder has always acted/talked this way ever since I first heard of him.


I wouldn't expect him to act the same way towards fans attempting to meet him as he does to other Boxers trying to take his meal ticket from him (his Championship & his "0")

No he hasn't always talked this way, I have no problem with his actions, but he never really went this route with his trash talk and I think he is trying to put up a new persona to sell to the public since he gets shytted on constantly now.
From what I've gathered people who actually know him say this isn't the way he is either, he is very laid back and never serious to the extent to talk about beating people half to death.

I don't see any connection with this and dumb ass breazele's scuffle, Zelnoff who is always better beat when he spars with people, or the prostitute he caught stealing and slapped up

Wilder was obviously determined not to let his first big media exposure in the US go to waste.

There's nothing about Wilder, imo, that strikes me as "out of character"

He's had double the amount of fights at Welterweight than Adrien Broner has had (8 for Granados...4 for AB). If Granados isn't really a welter, then AB isn't...especially considering he's only had 2 fights at the full WW limit (if Granados aint included)

And since 2014, & not including Granados, Broner has had only 1 fight at WW...and that was a 144 catchweight vs Porter. Overall, he has 4 total fights at WW in his career out of 35 fights..

Granados, on the otherhand & not including Broner, has had 5 of his last 6 fights at Welterweight. Overall, Granados has 13 total fights at WW in his career out of 25 fights.



If Granados isn't a WW, then Broner definitely isn't breh.

He's in the position where he can pick his fights though. There's no one at 140 who can dictate to him what weight they "must" fight at, Im sure they would come up to 142 to face him......and at 147, he can still get some of them (lower tier) to face him at 144 or 145 if he wanted too as well.

Parker-Cojanu Fight to be Announced Wednesday in New Zealand

The Joseph Parker-Razvan Cojanu heavyweight title fight, which BoxingScene.com reported earlier Tuesday was in the works, will be announced at a press conference Wednesday in Auckland, New Zealand.

It’ll take place May 6 at Spark Arena in Auckland, Parker’s hometown. Cojanu is a late replacement for Hughie Fury, the mandatory challenger for Parker’s WBO heavyweight championship.

England’s Fury (20-0, 10 KOs), a cousin of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, withdrew from the fight Saturday, reportedly due to a lower-back injury. Parker’s promoters have questioned Fury’s injury because they had long sensed Fury wouldn’t travel to New Zealand for the fight.



The WBO allowed Parker’s handlers to make a fight with anyone ranked among the WBO’s top 15 heavyweight contenders because Fury pulled out on such short notice. The Romanian-born Cojanu is ranked No. 14 by the WBO, but hardly has accomplished anything that warrants a title shot.

The 6-feet-7½ Cojanu (16-2, 9 KOs), who was one of Parker’s sparring partners for the Fury fight, got knocked out in the second round by Donovan Dennis (12-3, 10 KOs) two years ago as part of ESPN’s Boxcino tournament in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Burbank, California, resident is 3-0 since then, but beat journeyman Grover Young (12-22-3, 8 KOs) only by split decision in their six-rounder in January 2016.

Cojanu, 30, also lost his pro debut by majority decision to Mexico’s Alvaro Morales, who entered their March 2011 bout in Las Vegas with a 5-9-5 record.
