His style regressed because he physically regressed..the guy has been taking beatings at welterweight since the berto fight..he doesn't have welterweight pop either..when a pure unknown jobber can beat him its time to rebuild off screen...he's actually better off dropping down a division..those belts will prolly become splintered soon enough...might as well get in the mix..it might prolong his career

I will always applaud him for targeting his dream fight and making it a reality. He jumped straight to 147 and put himself into position to make it happen.
The ideal time to move down would have been after the Mayweather fight. If not Mayweather, than at least after the Kamegai fight. However, Guerrero has the ultimate belief in himself to the point that I doubt he would ever consider moving down.
If he truly wanted to stay at WW, he should have managed his career like Tim Bradley. Bradley always fought the smaller WW's that moved up from 140. The times he did face guys that I believe started at WW (Chaves, Abregu), they made him work really hard.
