I see nothing wrong with Sergio only wanting to take big money fights at this stage of his career...Dude earned that right...He took the tough road to stardom and is approaching 40...

Canelo will have no problem making 160 and as far as I know he doesn't have any contractual agreement with showtime...In other words he has no viable reason to reject those terms...

You know, I've been real critical of Goldenboy matchmaking of Canelo but, I gotta give it to them for making Trout-Canelo. I just didn't see that coming. Now, if Canelo some how looks impressive against Trout and Sergio looks like he lost a step against Murray coming off that injury. WHY NOT? I think it's possible, depending on how both Canelo and Martinez look. Martinez aint getting any younger. But it wouldn't surprise me if it were Angulo, Kirkland or Cotto. They won't be getting my money for that shyt though.

Why would you be critical of their matchmaking? Did you forget that he was scheduled to fight Williams before his accident and Kirkland before he faked his injury?

Why is it so hard to see that Martinez has no interest of fighting a live body, Chavez might of been his biggest win thus far and the truth is thats Chavez a C class fighter that landed nearly 50% of his shots and put him on his ass

My whole point was Sergio hasnt fought at 154 in his last 7 going on 8 fights N hes the MW champ....thers no reason for him to fight at 54 period.

The weight shyt is just posturing but I understand the HBO stipulation since Sergio is still under a contract with the network while Canelo is basically a free agent.
And of course he would be amenable to going back down to 154 for Floyd...that is guaranteed big money like Martinez has never seen before.
