This is an entirely different scenario..... He was adamant on fighting on the 18th in the situation plant went down and he didn't wanna scrap his entire training camp and start over. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Obviously that fight fell through and now they can push back the fight date before even starting camp. I don't see how that's not computing.

But it's comedy. Y'all were just complaining that he was forcing bivol to have a short camp. Now he pushes his fight date back 2 months and y'all are still mad. Wtf

I got a feeling canelo and haymon will start negotiating again. Think canelo team is just using bivol as leverage like they used golovkin with Danny Jacobs. Canelo vs plant is the fight to make. Get that shyt out of the way before anything.

Look a few posts up. Hearn said canelo is gonna fight in November instead. Prolly didn't wanna rush it for September. But I wonder what new excuse the haters will come up with.

So Canelo should balloon up to 175 last minute when he was training for 68? instead of them both meeting halfway?? Doesn't make much sense.. I just find it funny yall don't have this same energy when Floyd demanded Canelo move down

He does NOT have to balloon up. He can choose not to drain himself to get to 168. I know how fighters get to their weights, lets stop the cap.

He can easily come in between 170-175 for weigh in and not shrink down to 168. How can you say that when I never spoke on Canelo and Floyd? How you know i didn't feel the same way? I don't like catchweights period. But Floyd and him fought at 152 (2 lb difference for Canelo), and Floyd still came in at 150. So Floyd was required to gain more weight than Canelo lost. That's a 5 lb difference for him. Canelo might as well ask him to fight at 168 if 170 is the target.

Like I said, the catch weight isn't even the issue, it's the short notice to demand someone to come down 5 lbs and you only go up 2 which is easy af and requires no work for Canelo. Its literally just easing the process for him.

Ah, come on now man. Canelo deserves as much criticism as anyone else, but to say that moving up a weight class means a fighter just needs to stop draining themselves is absurd.

Andre Ward in his second weight class needed multiple tune ups before facing Kovalev. Yet it's preposterous for Canelo to ask for a catch weight in his fourth weight class? Dude is not a natural LHW fighter, he's only going up because his deal with Plant looks to have fallen through.
