I’m low key disgusted at how much love showtime is showing this Paul/Woodley fight.

All of their IG stories are full with fight week/media day workout/interviews from today. Tank doesn’t even get this much love for his ppv fights.

If they spent even a quarter of the energy they did on this to their regular main event cards they would be in a much better spot.

showtime is shooting themselves in their own foot. you either bring some type of level of promo from this Paul fight to the regular cards, or just leave boxing already.

they haven’t done a day in camp in forever, they waited until pre fight to air the 5 minute rigo/casimero backstage stuff they filmed. They also moved Fulton/Figueroa to before a bellator event on the same night. Bellator is a second rate MMA organization, it’s not a good look.

if PBC re-ups with Showtime, they better make sure they include all access, day in camp, etc for all, if not almost all of their regular main events. Similar to what they got out of FOX (before covid ruined that). IDK where the showtime dollars are going.

It really looks silly how much work they’re putting into a meaningless fight. I’m curious what the numbers turn out to be.

I obliterated my thumb sparring yesterday. was doing work on the inside and bro checked my 4 with his elbow perfectly and being that I've basically been training/sparring with a compromised thumb already (shyt has been sore and flaring up every week for months since I didn' let it heal and my trainer was like you'll be straight:francis:) must have just reached critical mass. I usually fukk it up a bit during sparring but just fight though it but my fukking god this was like worst pain ever, instantly collapsed and was like crying real tears in the ring for a few minutes. thought I broke that shyt but I think its just a really really bad sprain that I never let heal. Right thumb was twice the size of the other:hhh: trainer acting concerned after the fact when I told him that shyt was fukked up for a while now. Thats my boy of years and he def knows his shyt because he got me looking nice but don't try to save face in front of the head coach after that fact lol:stopitslime:

Its still sore after a brace and icing it but its not nearly as tender. def gonna have to not hit anything for a few weeks and also only throw that 4 when its there and not force shyt. I'm short so the inside is my home but I can get predictable once there. do my cardio and finally be able to get some solid weight training days in with not having to box for a lil bit.

And I'm just ammy level. I can't imagine the licks pros have taken and jus have to fight through it. you can't play at this shyt at all

De La Hoya Not Interested In Canelo Fight Anymore, Wants Trinidad, Mayweather Rematches Instead

LOS ANGELES — After kickstarting an adamant campaign to fight the superstar he long-promoted, Oscar De La Hoya now has a change of heart on facing Canelo Alvarez as he begins his boxing comeback tour at the age of 48.

“I changed my mind,” De La Hoya told reporters before a media workout promoting his Sept. 11 fight against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort at Staples Center on Triller and FITE pay per view.

“Not because of anything or because he'll knock me out. It's just that I thought it over and I would actually rather I do two of these, and Vitor doesn't knock me out, maybe do another one by December and again on Cinco De Mayo. I don't have any hesitation to call out Floyd [Mayweather] or [Felix] Trinidad]. We have unfinished business. That rematch never happened. That would be pretty cool. It just depends on how I look and how I feel. I feel amazing right now. You'll see my speed and power, my footwork, it's all there. We'll see how I do against a heavyweight. I have my hands full. But hey, let's go.”

In July, De La Hoya was interested in fighting the four-division champion Alvarez, who is 17 years younger than him.

“Why not? Why not? It’s only power,” De La Hoya said at the time in regard to Alvarez. “That’s all it is. Power I can withstand. Speed, like Pacquiao, is a whole different story. Power, power – I have a good chin. You know?”

De La Hoya then doubled down on a potential fight with Alvarez soon after on Mike Tyson’s podcast.

“I wanna do two of these fights, and then guess what? I’m going to do a real fight, a 12-round fight, with either Floyd [Mayweather] or Canelo [Alvarez],” De La Hoya told Tyson.

In June, promoter Leonard Ellerbe nixed the idea of a bout between Mayweather and De La Hoya.

Earlier this week, Trinidad said he’s not much interested in a rematch either.

“I wish De La Hoya the best. I've never had anything against him,” said Trinidad. “We fought because we had to have a winner and that is Tito Trinidad. I wish the best for him. Oscar knows that this is not easy, but may he have the success of the world on his return."

Trinidad handed De La Hoya his first career loss in 1999 in a razor-thin majority decision. Mayweather scored a split decision of De La Hoya in 2007.

i mean i know tito said he wasnt interested in doing shyt like this..but he has been looking like he's been training lately
