Losing To Canelo Alvarez Was Painful Both In The Ring And Financially For Shane Mosley

I see how this nikka lost his belts to his wife now.

Heading into his 2012 showdown against Canelo Alvarez, Mosley was taken aback when he was pegged as a significant underdog on the night. After carving out a career that was already Hall of Fame worthy, Mosley believed there was absolutely no logical reason why Alvarez was such a significant betting favorite.

Generally speaking, Alvarez was tabbed as a -875 favorite, while Mosley came back at roughly +575. Believing that the betting market made a huge mistake on the night, Mosley took his $600,000 purse and added a few more bucks on top of it. Then, he made his way to the casino and made an enormous bet on himself. Although Mosley was 40 years of age at the time, 19 years older than Alvarez, he simply couldn’t pass up on the return he was set to make for defeating the young star.

Canelo vs Plant already in November, doesn't really make sense to co-promote when it probably doesn't do numbers anyway
I think it could do pretty well if both FOX and ESPN would promoter the hell out of it but now it probably won't
With that said 3 PPVs in such a short time (Fury vs Wilder, Canelo vs Plant, Bud vs Porter) might be already too much for them

Porter won't be easy work for anybody. But I think bud will beat him EASIER than anybody has yet. Porter definitely won't fight him like he did spence. Crawford is too fast on his feet for that. If porter comes in with that head first shyt he will get knocked out. But I'm sure Porter and his dad know that. Wouldn't be surprised if we see shawn moving more and trying to lure bud into some shyt. But Crawford is too smart for that.

This is a just bad matchup for porter. Bud is better in every way. His quick hands and feet will have Shawn hesitant to open up. I see bud winning this on some 9-3, 10-2 shyt and possibly getting the knockout late.

This is kind of how I see the fight going as well. Crawford will welcome a slug fest and would probably knock Shawn out. Shawn best bet is to try and box.

Bud finally getting an opponent his haters can't undermine and Porter almost getting a cash out type situation with this being double his career payday so maybe he can focus on commentary/podcasting if he doesn't pull off the upset
also a chance for Bud to eliminate the "he can't in fight" stigma nikkas run with. Could see Bud landing some vicious uppercuts if Porter tries that head down mauling bullshyt.
will be interesting to see if porter fights like that or if he risks trying to box. Got dropped by 147lb Broner when he paused at distance and looked mid as hell against Ugas when he tried to stay on his toes an entire fight so wouldn't seem like the best approach but who knows what his camp will try here
