To this day Trinidad is the only one who I remember didn't get dragged through hell while fighting Mayorga. Mayorga was crazy as hell if I remember right, didn't he use to smoke cigarettes and drink beers in the middle of his training camps. :russ:

Tarver is probably the luckiest boxer all time. Caught RJJ on the decline & made a name for himself. That still pisses me off lol

i mean roy could have ignored him or told him to come up to heavyweight instead of doing what he did :heh:

It wasn't luck. Roy stupidly came back down. Should of said fukk that belt and if Tarver really wanted smoke, make him come up. Or just fight Mike, holy and Lewis and ride out as the goat. But nope (he'd lost to Lewis)

It was luck & I'm not talking about a punch; it was all timing. That was the first fight where he looked real vulnerable out of his prime. RJ damaged himself coming back down in weight w/o Mackie Shilstone's assistance

In the year 1990 was Tyson overrated, or is this rewriting history?

agree with buster not being a bum, disagree with tyson being overrated at the time..ive said it before buster was a skilled fighter...his problem was mental..just like tyson

It wasn't luck. He pressed Roy and his ego allowed him to make a very stupid mistake

The spin machine helped create the Mike Tyson aura and elite status. Mike was a damn special talent but faded quite quick. Im speaking from hindsight because when he was active we were there witnessing "greatness". Ya dig?
