If we're just tellin it like it is. then yes. floyd looks like a fool for talking all that shyt about catchweights then fighting at a catchweight. he got on pac for 2 lbs so it's only right he catches some shyt for asking canelo to come down 2 lbs. on the other side, floyd is a character. dude talks shyt just to talk shyt. half the stuff he says he doesn't even mean, so you can't even take it serious. dude has contradicted himself a lot of times in his career. he knows why pac asked for the catchweights. for the same reason he asked for this one. because he knows canelo is a real threat. canelo is young. strong. fast. and big. floyd knows this is gonna be the most dangerous opponent he's faced in a long time...if not, ever. if he can get a little something of an advantage then so be it. it's the same reason he chose not to lose those 2 lbs vs marquez. cause 2 lbs is not easy to lose when you're already going through intense training just to meet the limit for your weight class. for canelo, I don't think it should effect him that much, if at all. but still...floyd can't have it both ways. and floyd fans...I don't understand why you bother arguing about it. you don't have to defend every single little thing. it's OK to admit floyd can be on some bullshyt at times. it doesn't make you any less of a fan.
with that being said, i'm happy as hell. every boxing fan should be. 152 shouldn't make much of a difference. if it was 150 I woulda called it complete bullshyt. but 152....canelo came in 153.5 for trout, so I don't think it will be much of a struggle for him. bottomline, this is the best fight that could have been made right now. so you gotta give floyd his respect. dude is fighting a guy who can legit knock him the fukk out if he makes a mistake(ala mosley 2nd round)....much more dangerous of an opponent than pacquiao ever was.
