From a purely promotional/business standpoint, I think matching Navarrete up with Valdez makes more sense.

Get Navarrete's profile up by beating a good name in Valdez, and winning a belt in a third weight class. Or Valdez gets a solid win and can maybe take some of the heat off his failed PED test.

Shakur fights against a former champion in Berchelt, gets a decent name on his resume, and doesn't have to carry an entire promo tour by himself vs Valdez or Navarrete.




I would love to see Loma vs Shakur though. That would be a tremendous step up for Shakur.

Yup. This is what I want....except if Berchelt beats Navarette and Valdez beats Stevenson. Valdez/Stevenson is the fight I want to see the most right now, outside of spence/Crawford, fury/usyk and Canelo/Beterbiev
